The persistence of communist thought in America and the Democratic Debates [KT]

Democratic Socialism is the carrot in front of the stick to beat you with if the carrot doesn't work.
Communism persists in America
Mark Levin recently focused on the American Left's love of communism, and how the media props it up. He began with an article from City Journal by Harry Stein, The Red Decade, Redux:
It may be that the best book that will ever be written about today's progressive mind-set was published in 1941. That in The Red Decade author Eugene Lyons was, in fact, describing the Communist-dominated American Left of the Depression-wracked 1930s and 1940s makes his observations even more meaningful, for it is sobering to be confronted with how little has been gained by hard experience. .
The review of the book and commentary which follows is excellent. Many people through the decades since 1941 who have fallen for Marxism should have known better.
Echoes of Marxism in the Debates
Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel on Woke Fascism. But what they are really describing is closer to the show trials and such of Marxism as practiced in the USSR and China.
How do you know if you're living in a free society? Here's a quick test: Are you allowed to say obviously true things in public? Or are you forced to lie? As George Orwell put it in "1984": "Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows." But what if that freedom isn't granted? What if you're required to repeat things that you know aren't true? What if everyone who hears you knows perfectly well that you're lying, but they can't say so out loud? What if everyone is required to nod along in mock sincerity as if it's all completely real? That's what a pep rally in a police state looks like: "Thanks to the dear leader for a bountiful potato harvest!" they chant, even as they starve to death. You get the same feeling as you watch the current race for the Democratic nomination.
They identify specific lies that Democratic candidates have been forced to tell by other Democrats. Things we knew, but said in a way that could resonate with some young person you might know.

Progressives Marxist Socialists say they're "scientific" and we 'Deplorables' are superstitious, but what scientist tries a failed experiment again and again hoping the result will be different? In that case, the hypothesis is wrong. If you're a member of the command group of a Marxist Socialist Communist state, the results can be financially good. The young don't have the wisdom to realize that that which is in opposition to human nature will always fail. Their brainwashing makes it so.
Now we see why first it was Global Cooling, then Global Warming or the combination now called Global Change or whatever they're calling it this week persists. It isn't the theory that's wrong, heck, that's established fact- the nature of the planet Earth.according to them. It's really it's just that that damned reality won't conform to their Facts.
The largest triumph of Satan is to convince people that Communism is not only not as bad as Fascism, but secretly wonderful.
The worst day in the lives of most American PMS/DSA Leftists was the day the USSR fell. They still have nightmares about it.

Yes, at the moment they are just as crazy as the communists.

cost of student free debt: 1.6 trillion

cost of Republican tax cuts: 1.9 trillion

Socialism and fascism are insidious (and, yes, persistent) memes that appeal the worse of human drives. We won't be rid of them easily, nor soon.

Marxist Socialist Communist state has never existed.

Stalin became and atheist after attending seminary school, before that he was a student at a church school.

Shame that the government can never cut spending. And why cant kids not go to expensive colleges but cheaper ones that teach the same thing? Oh yeah, because then Yale and over liberal schools could go out of business, and they should.

Since you have no idea I will tell you Yale and Harvard are private schools and have always cost more to attend than a public university. When one applies for a job with a degree from Harvard it looks better than a degree from Podunk U, you see there are businessmen who like to discriminate on potential employees by where they attended college...
