Because it's cheaper to buy foreign oil from overseas, than to pump it out of their own oil fields.

The companies are operating under socialist laws and policies. They can't afford to pay and provide benefits to employees.

People who don't have the balls to overthrow dictators deserve everything that happens to them. Venezuela deserves their Socialism. Cubans deserve Castro. And I like both their peoples.

Every time Statists come to power, they think their version of the same crap will work "Because we finally figured it out!" and then they find out decades later that they didn't figure it out.
