But over time, through the 70's, 80's and 90's, the Democrats were slowly kicked out of office because of their incompetence, not because they supposedly supported civil rights.

There was a Southern Strategy, but it wasn't what the libs portray it as.

What the real story is that after the GOP won the Civil Rights Act and got it passed over liberal objections, they started to compete for votes in the South. The libs didn't like it, as they felt that they owned the votes and loyalty of Southern Honkies.

But over time, through the 70's, 80's and 90's, the Democrats were slowly kicked out of office because of their incompetence, not because they supposedly supported civil rights.

Clinton, Gore, Carter were all big Southern Honky political clans that were shown the door and ruled the south LONG AFTER 1964 and the Civil Rights Act.
