CDZ The Holocaust versus Slavery... Which one was worse?

I'll go with the one that actually happened so slavery.

So the concentration camps were staged (like the Moon landing)?
They were prison camps for enemies of the state and degenerates. They died because of the blockades the allies instituted against Germany and they couldn't get them food or medical supplies. If they were planning on killing them all why did they have hospitals, swimming pools, movie theaters etc?

I've seen extensive documentaries on Auschwitz. Which one in particular
Featured the swimming pools?

Lets stop with the Auschwitz lies

Holocaust: hands down.

While slavery was drawn out over
a longer period of time there is absolutely no comparison in the barbarity, the cruelty and the utter drive to extinguish a whole
Race of people from the planet.

Slavery, while abominable was not about
Extermination.

The Holocaust is most probably the worst
Event against a single people in human history.

Jo

Give it a rest for pity sake they were both bad but so have all the other instances of genocide. Neither are special cases and History provides both with lots of company both before and since right up to today.

I think it's a mistake to let one rest but not the other. Let them All rest or all not.

One must keep in mind that in various forms, slavery was a common institution in all countries and empires since the dawn of time. All empires usually took the loser of wars and enslaved them. Since ancient man left Mesopotamia, the Carthaginians, the Greeks, the Romans, etc.... ...slavery has been around forever. Later there were things like indentured servants, people bound to certain lands. It was still slavery though.

When America was born, the founding fathers were men of their times, use to slavery as a common thing. We must give them great credit for their vision, that all men are created equal, and for creating the mechanism which they knew would one day end slavery once the people became enlightened enough.

But the holocaust? That was a single act, a policy, of extermination of an entire ethnic group, for no other reason than their extermination. It was a horror. It was nothing like slavery. They cannot even be compared.

Agreed.

I maintain they were both equally heinous.

Of course, slavery happened to the Jews as well.

Slavery exterminated souls, a body without a soul is just a shell

Holomodor.

Great Leap Forward.

Both killed millions more, and just as brutally.

Yes, famine is the worst way to go.

The Communists & also British Empire Capitalists killed a ton of people by famine.

Lesser known however is the Nazis did too.

I cannot argue against that. But consider this; because those enslaved around the world were Black, the original race of man. Their complexion continues to work against them in America. That lays another brick in the wall of time. slavery continues to be drawnmoit over a longer period of time.

I know its the muslim belief that black are the original race of mankind and the Honkies were supposedly invented by a scientist.

But that's really not scientific at all. The pics I have seen of our original parents Adam as well as Eve, they were definitely white.

And Eve, just for the record, was definitely a Broad.

That's the Nation of Islam...They are a Black supremacist cult... Not even authentic Muslims.

Neither is better or worse than the other, just different atrocities. What arguments like these do is pit one group of victims against another.

Mao's killing reached over 70 million.....

Communism is responsible for the deaths of over 100 million people around the world....and yet people walk around with mao shirts, che shirts ......... socialism since 1917 is the worst mass murdering economic system ever created....and yet every one of the democrats want to embrace it.

Eh, the Islamists, British Empire & Genghiz Khan killed an enormous amount before the concept of Socialism came into effect.

Well you have a point. I think the reason I selected these two in no particular it's because in our political system the Holocaust is doubted whereas pre civil war slavery has been elevated to the Pinnacle of all universal injustices.

Seems a bit unbalanced.

The USA population of slaves grew faster than any population in Europe in the same time frame.

Just kind of proves the gross exaggerations of slavery.

Yes, it was bad overall by today's standards...so did just about everybody else back then...That is it.... Peasants starving had it bad if not worse...

Yes.....they were primitive people a long time ago. The socialists after 1917 were in the modern period, with a modern understanding of the rule of law, philosophy, science, political life.........where as the Mongols were nomadic herdsman with little to no understanding of any of those things......

The most educated people in those countries participated in the mass murder ........

I don't think so. Holocaust denial is not mainstream by any means. The events of the Holocaust defined many of our political decisions around the world and continue to do so. We have a museum dedicated to it, so that we will never forget. Holocaust deniers are marginalized in the same way as white nationalists and their propaganda. At least I hope they still are. I certainly don't see it in our mainstream politics.

I don't think slavery is elevated to a pinnacle. I think, like the Holocaust, it is something we shouldn't forget. It is a part of our heritage. It serves as a reminder to us of what we are capable of doing to each other. That's all.
