The Hidden Gas Tax Cometh - EPautos - Libertarian Car Talk
Chiefly because it’s a tax everyone feels, every day – and it’s an extremely disproportionate tax already. About 50 cents per gallon – which amounts to a roughly 20 percent tax added to the cost of every gallon of fuel. The government makes (takes) more money off each gallon than the Evil Oil Companies earn from the sale of each gallon. Yes, really.

Well just like we are doing to other countries now it's our turn to be hit with sanctions. So let the games begin.

Wait until they mandate PREMIUM gas with no choice of the cheaper gas LOL

The federal gasoline tax is only 18.4 cents per gallon and 24.4 cents per gallon on diesel fuel

It's your state that is gouging you on gas taxes not the feds

Did you go further than the headline on here just to make sure it wasn't INFOWARS first. The guy is a official cars sales expert.

But if the FEDS tax you 50% that just makes it ok to do right.

My state raised its gasoline tax by another $.58/gallon a few years ago to the highest in the nation. It hits the working poor, and middle income earners the most. The state blew all the money from the previous taxes, on buy vote programs instead of fixing the roads, and bridges. So what do they do? Raise more taxes again.

Yep! And my state senator, a Republican cosponsored the bill with a Democrat. It was signed by a Republican Governor. So its not just Democrats that raise taxes.

Just think of the states who Tax PER MILE....... lol you actually get taxed twice but political dumbasses can't figure that out as they sell it to the public.

Gas taxes are an anchor on economic advancement...just what the dems desire....a poorer populous in need of their help....

Well it's either vote for the Dims or Nazis.

It's just that simple.

Has Trump begun the mass extermination yet?

Where should the government get its money for building and maintenance of roads and bridges? Gas tax was a fair means to tax those who use the roadway infrastructure, but that was before these days of wide use of alternative fueled vehicles.
