The state blew all the money from the previous taxes, on buy vote programs instead of fixing the roads, and bridges. So what do they do? Raise more taxes again.

Where should the government get its money for building and maintenance of roads and bridges? Gas tax was a fair means to tax those who use the roadway infrastructure, but that was before these days of wide use of alternative fueled vehicles.
