So when does it become a military mission to you?
Do we need 1 million infected, or 1 billion? In your great wisdom, it does not make sense to stop it in its tracks before it becomes something worse? On one hand, you want anyone who travels within 1000 miles of one of these West African countries to be quarantined for 21 days, but you don't think we should be doing anything to fight the spread of this disease. How do people become so stupid?

Oh..I see...it is so dangerous that we must immediately send troops to africa to (somehow) stop the spread of this horrifically deadly disease....

...but on the other hand it isn't dangerous enough that we have to close our borders or have mandatory quarantines of people who have been in hot zones or exposed to the disease.

According to the EXPERTS, isolating a country would be counterproductive. It would actually increase the chances of a worldwide pandemic.

It is better to take the fight there than wait for it to come here. Which it inevitably would, big time, if you tried to isolate the countries which are currently affected.

Thank you. I can't help but think that Germany handled the crisis in the proper way. They asked for volunteers and compensated them.
We have many people who are without work for such a long time and are able bodied people., Many in construction work.

Since the work is risky the compensation could be lucrative and promising for some who chose to go. It could mean saving their home to many.

Where was your outrage when Bush sent over 12,000 members of the military to perform humanitarian relief after the 2004 tsunami?

There are 22 million people in said hot zone and a small fraction have contracted Ebola. Let's do the best we can to solve this before it gets worse.

I believe it was wrong to use our military this way. We have voluntary groups that could go to Africa to do the jobs the military has demanded of the soldiers.

We would like to have a quality military resource but if this is the way ur military is going to be used, we can see fewer and fewer young men signing up for the task of questionable assignments that would being disease back to their families.

It would be interesting to see if fewer college recruits sign up for ROTC during this time.

It's a disaster. Our Soldiers aren't trained to fight Ebola. You would think a Commander-In-Chief would know that. Definitely not a good time to be an American Soldier. Would you sign up?

The soldiers are building facilities and training others, they are not treating patients. They are adequately trained for that. BTW, the Us military serves at the discretion of the President and the congress.

What ever happened to that anything, anytime, anywhere attitude.....or is it that that motto just doesn't happen to carry your water at this time.

Our armed services, got that, ARMED SERVICES, are there to protect our nation, to go to war to protect this country from outside intervention, attack and fight on behalf of our people. Just how does going to a nation full of deadly disease to build facilities and train others fit into the description of the armed forces? It fits into the Peace Corpse. That's their gig and it's voluntary.

Tell it to all the National Guardsmen who ended up fighting in the middle east.
