Recent reports indicate that the Locusts swarms are getting much larger.
The insects themselves,are genetically mutating into more vicious locusts and may
be consuming animal fleash in addition to plant vegitation.The swarms, many scientist say, may be getting larger because of Global Climate change.And may someday find their way to the United States of America.

I am no bible thumper, but I've always enjoyed deciphering Revelations. The "locusts" in revelations are supposed to be "locusts with the faces of men". If you sit back and try to think of that description through the eyes of the guy who saw the vision thousands of years ago it sort of sounds like how a person from ancient times might describe a helicopter. Make sense?
