A startling home-made video now shows the terrifying moments where Watertown residents were forced out of their homes at gunpoint as SWAT teams performed door-to-door searches as they hunted the second marathon bomber.

While millions of Bostonians waited in their houses on Friday during the city-wide lockdown, the people of Watertown were faced with SWAT officers yelling at them to get out of the buildings immediately.

At the time, the Boston police department and federal agents were barely criticized, but now many are concerned about the dangerous precedent that could lead to more police searches using the rationale of ‘exigent circumstances’ as an excuse.

Assess the compensation owed to the communities inconvenienced, harassed or violated in the aftermath of the bombings. Add it to the hospital and rescue bills, and costs of restoration, therapy and other losses of families. And charge it to the criminal wrongdoers. The one left alive can serve time working while waiting to see if he gets worse penalties, and start paying restitution for these costs, even if he gets the death penalty later. The people online, supporting this man or the bombings, or any sympathizers in other countries can join and work to pay the debts of the conspirator who isn't alive to pay for that himself, so his brother isn't stuck with the whole tab. If you think these men deserve sympathy for protesting costs of war, then jump in and pay for the costs they incurred for their acts of violence and war. I think that would be fair. If everyone did that, how much faster would we achieve world peace?
