You can try and make yourself feel better and say it was all about hate and racism or what ever, but that will not make it true. The truth is as I said it, and the sooner your side wakes up to those facts, the sooner they will regain some power.

It's not all about hate and racisim, but much of it is, and it is about fear mongering and spending - not by the Democrats, though they are responsible too, but by the Republicans who supported the Bush White House who created the fiscal mess which crested in

Much of it is about race? Nah maybe 20% of the Hard core right are racists. This wave was about the Economy, and the Debt, and Unpopular Bills like Heath care, the Stimulus being rammed down our throats.

as to your second point.

Even granting you that Bush and the Republicans "got us into this mess" which I think is simplifying it a tad. You are still left with the fact that Obama and the Congressional dems(who have been in power for 4 years now) Have responded to said crisis in a horrid, inefficient and down right illogical fashion.

We were in a hole when Dems took control of Congress in 07. Their response since then was to speed up the digging process drastically. once Obama took office they sped it up even more.

Americans are not as stupid as some would have you think. They understand that when you are having a crisis which is fueled at least in part by Runaway Debt. The solution is not to drastically increase the speed at which you are incurring new Debt.

Democrats always want to talk about the Far right, and ignore the Far left. Which has had the reigns of Power in the Dem Party since 07 at least. Until more moderate leadership comes to the Dem party. I do not think you will see a wave sweeping Dems back into power.

Prey the Do not make Pelosi Minority leader. Prey they wise up and give the Moderates and Conservative Democrats more power in the party. Or it wont just be the Republican party in danger of splitting.
