To their credit Congress will not "kick the can down the road" again. I support shutting the government down until they can manage the Budget better.

That's a terrible poll. If we could select more than one option, maybe. But you can't expect people to only pick one thing from that whole list.

Not doing what one party wants but still working within the system in place = taking the nation hostage. :cuckoo:

The Dems want the Republicans to drag their feet on this, not because they give a two shits about the country but to score political points. Drive the nation off a fiscal cliff AND blame the Republicans for it. It's win-win. It's all about political oneupsmanship, no matter how much the nation suffers.

That's the definition of holding the nation hostage.
