“The 'Angry White Male' Phenomena in America = WTF Is Going On???”
Fear and ignorance – an unwarranted fear of change, diversity, inclusion, and dissent.
An unwarranted fear that white men are ‘victims of change,’ that change somehow places white man at a ‘disadvantage,’ and that white men will no longer have access to advancements in education and employment – or be excluded form education and employment opportunities altogether.
The ‘angry white male’ also functions under the ignorant, wrongheaded notion that he’s being ‘replaced’ with immigrants, minorities, and women – that as America becomes more diverse and inclusive, white men will no longer have a significant place or role in society.
Needless to say, this is unmitigated idiocy; but fear is a very powerful emotion, and when conjoined with ignorance it will eventually manifest as bigotry, racism, and hate.
