You need to actively condition your self to eating human flesh .

Am not sure how you train for that , but I suspect it will happen naturally if needs must.

Which brings me to my point as I read the entire thread:

Why would you WANT to survive in a world like that?

Psychopaths would thrive. When there's not enough for everybody and no order it's the most cutthroat that survive.

Maybe, when there is no law to protect them psychos tend to get taken out real quick by vigilantes.

If you can just hide out in your home with no need to come out for even 3-7 days...you have a MUCH better chance at survival!

Which brings me to my point as I read the entire thread:

Why would you WANT to survive in a world like that?

Providing I had viable remaining health and food and water supplies , I would happily trade further dawns , sunsets etc against discomforts.
I would be a long time dead but happy to first sing as many old songs as possible to myself and review past and possibly happier memories before conceding .
At least I trust that it is how it might happen .

Yup. The longer the better. But any amount of time will increase your chances.

I laugh at people on the news bitching that they can't get food because they're snowed in for 3 days.
