That's not how the economy works, Joe! Biden demands supermarkets cut soaring grocery prices

Left wingers: inflation rates are down .. everything is great!
Also left wingers: company profits and people with wealth are evil!
Capitalism is a war between labor and owners over the share of the pie…agree?

Owners have tipped the scales and have captured more wealth share than ever before… agree?

Whether you think that is bad or not is opinion but the facts are facts.

Not at all. Capitalism is a war between different enterprises for market share. Productivity and marketing are the keys to increasing profitability.

That's a very biased opinion of capitalism. If capitalism isn't the answer, then what is?

These people lie so much you can't keep all of their lies straight. For an administration who blamed Trump for never taking any responsibility for anything, Biden & Co blame everyone but themselves for anything bad that happens. They never take and responsibility for anything. It's always someone else's fault, no matter what it is.

Now it is grocery stores. Inflation means prices are going up. When inflation goes down from around 9% to around 3.5% it means prices are still going up 3.5%. It doesn't mean prices are going down, it just means that prices aren't going up as fast as they had been. And yet the Biden campaign is now trying to blame higher grocery prices on grocery stores, claiming that since inflation has come down then prices should actually come down, even though inflation is 3.5%, meaning prices are going up 3.5%. That's not how it works Joe. Inflation (3.5%) means prices are going up so you can't expect grocery stores to actually cut prices. This is their new campaign theme coming up, blame grocery stores for Biden's high prices.

Marxism: Blaming capitalism since 1848.

Owners benefit from marketing and productivity. Labor benefits from organizing into a valuable resource. Their product is their labor, not the company’s product or service.

So predictable. If Trump said what Biden said you would agree with Trump.

We've already got multiple thread debunking this.

I like capitalism. Works the best. It’s not perfect. Labor needs more leverage though.

Labor has huge "leverage". If they don't like their employer because of wages and benefits or any other reason, they can ask for a raise and quit and work elsewhere if they don't like the answer.

Sleepy Joe's friend in Chicago, Mayor Johnson, is planning to open a government owned grocery store in Chicago. We'll see what prices they sell things at,and see how much money they make with their reasonable, government determined prices.
Oh Geezus....lol....yeah I can see it now. The government trying to run retail food when they can't even run themselves.

What happens to their Marxist philosophy and the employees want to get paid a living wage?

Will their be special prices for elected officials and family?

Hey....don't ask for beef here folks that's bad for global warming!

Only the highest skilled employees like me have leverage. The average laborer isn’t organized and isn’t maximizing their leverage.

At a recent speech, it was clear that Biden blames supermarket chains despite several factors beyond their control raising prices.

There are still too many corporations in America ripping people off: price gouging, junk fees, greedflation, shrinkflation,' Biden said.

Joe Biden has suggested supermarkets should defy the laws of supply and demand to lower soaring prices that threaten his chances of re-election.

'There are still too many corporations in America ripping people off: price gouging, junk fees, greedflation, shrinkflation,' he said at a speech in South Carolina last week.

'Americans, we're tired of being played for suckers and that's why we're going to keep these guys - keep on them and get the prices down.'

White House aides told The New York Times that Biden was taking aim at supermarkets - and that more is to come.
OK, in normal people speak:

PRICE CONTROLS. Meaning shortages. They are going to make 1970s gas shortages with their lines and insanity (happen with groceries). Then there will be places that limit how much you can buy.

Blah, they will do everything BUT lower taxes, get rid of regulations (by regulation, I mean where they try and stop people from doing an actually bad thing by not allowing them to do other things) ... they will not get rid of government enforced monopolies, and they especially won't stop inflating the currency supply.

That and if inflation is the result of greedy corporations, why don't we have high inflation all of the time? It's not like the grocery lobby hasn't been fucking folks raw like forever.

This is stupid on so many levels. Beyond price controls=shortages, you have to consider how many grocery stores will just close up shop. Margins are tiny in that business and why EBT is so prominent in their business models.

What a FJB grocery store will look like:

Stop government spending that wastes almost all the money spent Mr. President, and inflation comes way down and maybe will even reverse itself.

But then they would have to stop the boomerang bucks and the fat pork deals that land in politician's bank accounts. So it's highly unlikely they're going to go that route.

They won't go that route. Probably most know that its all bullshit and smoke and mirrors, but controlling the purse buys votes and keeps them in power. And they don't CARE whether anything actually accomplishes anything good or what the long range negative consequences will be. They are enriching themselves day by day an figure by the time it all hits the fan they will have theirs and will be out of office so that somebody else will get the blame.
