Any history book that is NOT a school book will tell you that Lincoln asked slave-owner robert e lee to be commander of all Union troops!!!! If lee was a monster then so was lincoln.

Texas High School's Re-Brand from Lee to L.E.E. Will Cost $300K

nov 16 2017 The Texas school district that recently voted to re-imagine a campus named for Confederate General Robert E. Lee with a more welcoming 21st Century nomenclature, unveiled that the projected costs to re-brand hovers around $300,000.
North East Independent School District Superintendent Brian Gottardy presented a report to the trustees Monday estimating a $299,098 price tag to rename Lee High. However, this is not a complete makeover. He said that would have totaled more than $1.3 million and included changing the school’s mascot and spirit colors.

Breitbart Texas reported that North East ISD trustees voted in October to change Robert E. Lee High to L.E.E., an acronym for “Legacy of Educational Excellence.” Potentially exorbitant costs influenced the trustees in choosing L.E.E. as the replacement name from more than 2,000 submissions received. At the time, Shannon Grona, school board president, noted: “We can minimize the number of things that need to be changed at the school.”

Ya, the travesty here is not that it is being renamed but rather why such a process would cost 300k. Astronomical.

As has been explained before, the press lies when they save the civil war was fought to free the slaves. The idea is preposterous!!!

1. There were four UNION states that practiced slavery throughout the war. KY MD MO DE. Had 300,000 slaves total.

2. There were many UNION generals who were slave owners. Even Grant had a slave and his wife had a bunch of them.

3. Lincoln asked slave owner Robert E Lee to be commander of all UNION forces.

a LOT of NA tribes decimated.displaced/warred on/exterminated/raped/TORTURED/etc other NA tribes long before the whites came
it what RLee did was wrong, surely what these tribes did was wrong

many rivers/etc named after the Iroquois--one of the most infamous tribes that performed the acts mentioned above
war was a WAY OF LIFE/part of the Iroquois culture

The reality is that the protection and travel of a president is going to cost money. A lot of it. There is also zero reason whatsoever that the president should not be able to go golfing or whatever other particular thing the president does for down time.

I am willing to be that you didn't have a single complaint about Obama's vacation time and the money it cost. That is part of the operating cost of the exec. branch.
