Texas GOP calls former Governor George W. Bush a "liberal socialist"

To say that the Texas Republican Party platform is wacko is a foregone conclusion. They have really gone out of their way this time around to prove it, haven't they! What is plain to see is the extreme insensitivity this political party has toward others. And to think they tout being so closely aligned with Christian principles and values -- truly sad! Not even close with their current platform. Just look at what they are offering. Just take a good hard look! It is not only pathetic but outrageous! They not only target the poor, children, minorities, but also senior citizens by proposing to remove Social Security as they know it! Now, that's very dangerous to many and no doubt there are going to be many white-haired Texas citizens and others on Social Security who will be looking at that alone and seriously rethinking what party to support as they enter the voting booth. The Texas GOP is now setting a tight noose around their political neck but not totally unexpected as they continue to prove time and time again that they care nothing about anyone who is not wealthy and of means. In fact, it's so bad even their leaders are trying to distance themselves from this despicable platform! But facts are facts as these two reports have brought out. Time for the Middle Class, the poor, and minorities to Move Out from the Republican base!

We STILL hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. It is our solemn duty to protect life and develop responsible citizens. We understand that our economic success depends upon free market principles. If we fail to maintain our sovereignty, we risk losing the freedom to live these ideals.

PRINCIPLES
We, the 2014 Republican Party of Texas, believe in this platform and expect our elected leaders to uphold these truths through acknowledgement and action. We believe in:
1. Strict adherence to the original intent of the Declaration of Independence and United States and Texas Constitutions.
2. The sanctity of human life, created in the image of God, which should be protected from
fertilization to natural death.
3. Preserving American and Texas sovereignty and freedom.
4. Limiting government power to those items enumerated in the United States and Texas Constitutions.
5. Personal accountability and responsibility.
6. Self-sufficient families, founded on the traditional marriage of a natural man and a natural woman.
7. Having an educated population, with parents having the freedom of choice for the education of their children.
8. Americans having the right to be safe in their homes, on their streets, and in their communities; and the unalienable right to defend themselves.
9. A free enterprise society unencumbered by government interference or subsidies.
10. Honoring all of those that serve and protect our freedom.
11. And we believe in “The laws of nature and nature’s God” as our Founding Fathers believed.

Things are much better today, now that we have the 17th Amendment. There is no "rampant and blatant corruption, letting corporations and other moneyed interests effectively buy U.S. Senators" any more.

The poor got 100% tax cuts on their federal income tax and in many cases no only do not pay federal income tax, quite the contrary they get paid to work. The upper income tax bracket received a significantly smaller tax cut by percentage. However, I can understand if you are a math challenged lib that just doesn't understand percentages. So I'll explain it easier for you.

A rich guy and a poor guy walk into a meat store. The poor guy buys a pound of hamburger that used to be taxed at a buck. Govco reduced the tax on hamburger meat to zero, so the poor guy walks out of the store without paying any taxes. Further at the end of the year the government sends the poor guy a check for the hambuger, so really the poor guy got his meat for free. The rich guy buys a pound of hamburger and a pound of prime aged beef that used to be taxed at 10bucks, but now is taxed at 7bucks. The rich guy paid 7bucks in taxes where before he would have had to pay 11bucks in taxes.

In this scenario the democrats scream holy murder that the rich guy got a bigger tax break. But wait. The rich guy is the only guy paying taxes. Further the rich guy actually got a smaller tax cut by percentage than the poor guy. This of course till the poor guy gets rich and starts buying steak.
