Terrorist, how serious is the world about getting rid of them?

I really get to wondering when I see things like this. Rod was watching comments on a video that lead him to this information.

Ezra Levant of Rebel News reports: I heard that Dalhousie University had invited Omar Khadr, the Al Qaida terrorist, to speak to students. I thought that was appalling, so I flew from Halifax to Toronto this morning to attend the event tonight. Little did I know that Khadr would be on the same plane as me, just a few rows ahead of me.

Evidently Canada is not quite so serious about eliminating terrorists. Granted, Canadian troops were helpful in the coalition, but their socialist leadership is weak on radical Islamics.

Ignorance of your enemy, leads to your downfall.
Much of the non-Islamic world is completely ignorant of Islam, other than it's a religion. Ignorantly, they also lump it in as a "race," which it absolutely not (there are Asian Muslims, Black Muslims, White Muslims and even Hispanic Muslims). It's a religion, plain and simple.
When most of the west looks at the violent conflict between the Shiites and Sunni's, they just think of it as some esoteric conflict only relating to them, which it isn't. Each faction considers the other as..."not true Muslims" and frankly, it just boils down to who should be teaching it. But the troubling basic thought process between them is the troubling part...they're killing each other, because the consider the other to NOT be true Muslims. Now, for all of you non-Muslims (Infidels) what do you think that says about you, when they (Shiites or Sunnis) look at you? When they look at you, they see the following: the infidel that must be converted to Islam, or subjugated (made a second-class citizen), or killed. If you walk up to a Muslim and ask if this is true, they will simply fall back on Taqiyya (use of deception when their religion is criticized). In the Koran, it was meant to be used to save one's life, but has been extended to any criticism of Islam.
A good example of what happens when you don't understand Islam and how it can destroy you, is Lebanon, a 20th century example.
Lebanon used to be a majority Christian nation and Beirut, its capitol was called the "Paris of the Middle-East." When the UN Security Council approved the creation of the Jewish led state of Israel, the Muslims living there made it publicly clear that they could not live under "non-Islamic" rule and left. Some went to Syria, others to Egypt, others to Jordan and others, to Lebanon. Those that went to Syria, Egypt and Jordan, settled in (excluding the two brief wars against Israel), but Lebanon was an entirely different situation, as those Muslims that wanted in to Lebanon, requested entry, the Christian government and its people, opened their hearts and doors to the Muslims. They acted neighborly and were considered friends. As their numbers climbed, attacks on Christians climbed. When Christians asked their Muslim neighbors why they were attacking Christians, the response was a simple, "because you are not Muslim." The attacks continued to increase. Road blocks were put up and Christians dragged from their cars and shot....for being Christian. Enter the Lebanese Civil War. The Christians fought back for survival and the Muslims fought for total control. Enter the UN peacekeeping force. By the end, a deal was brokered whereby the government of Lebanon would be jointly run by Christians and Muslims and the Peacekeeping force left.
What happened afterwards? Christian politicians began getting car bombed and shot to death. In the end, the Muslim Hezbollah runs things now.
Muhammad's early teachings were about peace, but when his idea of religion was rejected, he changed that ideology to one of conquering those that opposed it, via violence.
The Koran is quite clear in its calls for violence against non-believers and Lebanon and other former non-Islamic nations should be a lesson in what to expect from Islam.
