In your head
Seems like the more people try to make this state better, the more the populace tries to tear it down. Is it a political battle? Is it just rampant crime among our disgruntled youth? What are your thoughts?

As of early October, the number of homicides in Memphis (YOY) was up by 69. If the current trend of just over one homicide per day holds, Memphis would end 2023 with 388 homicides, which would smash the former all-time Memphis murder record — set in 2021 — by more than 50 deaths.

Auto thefts: UP

Thefts from motor vehicles: UP

Violent crime: UP

And now there’s apprehension associated with the new crown jewel, Topgolf.

It's a city run by black Democrats. What did anyone expect?

Memphis isn't representative of the overall state.
Like most population centers, the major cities seem to be where the crime is -- and the democrat leadership. I try to steer clear of towns bigger than 20K to 30K. The larger (>100K) cities seem more concerned with serving the homeless and progs than serving the tax payers. Let them wallow.

Yeah. Population dense areas have had more crime since before their were political parties.

Not expected to change.

Only problem there is many of those population dense areas didn't exist before there were political parties.
Democrats usually.

Why?
How do they compare with dense population areas run by, say, conservatives?
Probably because thats where actual people live, not just cows and pigs and dirt.
Do actual people feed on the cows, pigs and dirt those 'other' people provide?

Are there any?

Irrelevant. If there is no one there, there is no crime.
