I'm having a hard time understanding the problem here. Is there something wrong with hiring someone who has made porn to act in some other role? If he isn't making porn what's the issue? Should we boycott rocky movies because Sly did some adult films once upon a time?
Seems to me if you are helping her get out of porn roles you are doing a good job.
The bigger question is how was it discovered she does porn? Isn't it a bit wrong for people who clearly watched it to get upset over her doing something else?

Well, you do have a point there. But, if Cruz was actually going to help her get out of porn as you suggest, then why would he pull the ad? Wouldn't it be better to let it be discovered that she was a porn star, and then claim that he's trying to save her soul, as well as give her legitimate work as an actress?
By pulling the ad, all he's done is demonstrate that he's ashamed of getting caught.
His publicist should have gotten with her so that she and Cruz could get their stories straight. He had a golden opportunity to make this sound good, but now all he looks is guilty.

Seems that Ted Cruz had to pull one of his campaign ads because one of the actresses in it had previously performed in at least 2 adult films.
