Tech Companies and Swaying the Vote - Clinton Confronted Over Google Ties Denial

oh goodie :5_1_12024: - another sector that swayed voters and made Hillary LOSE !

dog catchers gotta be next !!!

:spinner::spinner::spinner::spinner:
while i did present this as a hillary denial of said help - my main point is that the tech companies - based on what they choose to allow, show or be found, can sway the vote - period. doesn't matter for who.

i don't want businesses having that type of power. lobbyists are bad enough. this just means they don't have to even do that now.
i think you give them too much credit. they're all fks. they give two shits about america and they have been exposed. there are alternative sites for people to go, so if they all wish to be biased, it will only be those fks on their boards. it's over. people moved. Parler.
Change a few people with different ideas, the people just follow. Human nature. Besides I don't like thinking in absolute stereotypes.
if something from a social board changes someone's mind, they don't have much of a mind.
Yet it happens so very often
you know people who changed their minds after reading shit on the internet? hahaahahaahahahaaha

Just look at this board and how many people use and believe unscrupulous links to "prove" their various points.
There are far to many people out there willing to be led around by their collective noses. Far to many.
There are gullible voters everywhere.

Who called the Chappaqua Blue Racer a fascist?

'Prior to the outbreak of the war the Nazi Party achieved substantial progress in bringing the business and military hierarchies under its domination. The necessities of the war, however, served to revive the power, to a certain extent, of the business community because its skills were required for war production. The importance of the military leadership needs no elaboration.'
(Wollf, The Nature of Fascism)

Tell that to righty citizens united. We can’t do anything about it.
Pretty sure you can't do shit so you're just being redundant

Don't have another account.
What? Seriously, earlier it showed Brain replying to himself, not you.

Something didn't update correctly.

.
Well didn't someone just bust another's chops for not knowing how to use these high tech forums???
I honestly think it was a technical snafu on USMB where it showed Brain quoting himself and responding. When I came back to the thread, it was fixed.

It's the very same principle. Google has a right to attempt to influence the election. Everyone does.

Still ironic. Only matters cause he just got done ragging on someone

this is why i think there needs to be some regulation or control. .

Won't help... the problem isn't the "tech companies", the problem is that the masses are intellectually lazy morons that are so easily manipulated that they can be talked into anything by simply placing a clever slogan next to it. How do you think the two major political crime families have managed to thrive for this long? and what do you think they've been doing for the last century if not manipulating voters using half-truths, innuendo and outright falsehood wrapped in clever marketing campaigns?

The existence of the "tech companies" just makes the manipulation more efficient and coincidentally EASIER TO SPOT, asking politicians to "regulate" them is like asking Bonnie & Clyde to hang on to all your guns and watch your wallet.

yep. just a phase we're going to have to somehow get through. people will learn to simply not trust anyone.

And we reward google by letting them offshore their profits.

Action against the evil enterprise should be taken immediately. American elections are not for international companies to decide.

IMHO, Not likely, historically "people" have demonstrated an overwhelming propensity to want to be told what to think and when to think it, those who are perceived to wield authority call the tune and the masses obediently play it no matter how contradictory the music is to their own best interests.

"What I may call the messages of Brave New World, but it is possible to make people contented with their servitude. I think this can be done. I think it has been done in the past. I think it could be done even more effectively now because you can provide them with bread and circuses and you can provide them with endless amounts of distractions and propaganda." -- Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

Nationalism them, comrade!

You can't even spell the word moron.

Not surprised that a person who can't even spell is a fan of an international corporation deciding American elections, but if Russia is even hinted at doing so, OUTRAGE!!!

So, the Epoch Times broke the FB rules by not disclosing on its Ads they were from the Epoch Times and were thus suspended.

Why do you all think that companies should be allowed to break the rules and face no consequences?
Rules seem to change a lot. That is my point.

also - ban the offending ads and ensure which ads are stated. right now we've just got "broke the rules" but not a whole lot more. but to ban them entirely?

fyi - i don't read or care about them - just the "power" one place has is getting pretty scary in day to day lives.

Never seen any posters change their mind or admit any wrong by leftist puke, ever. Some try to fake it occasionally, but anyone with avg IQ recognizes the games they play.

Far Left Killary supporters GiGI & Mac pretend to be swayed all over the map. But those two fool no one.

Not surprised that someone with no argument fixates on typos instead. Are you a socialist?

Based on the article they repeatedly tried to skirt the rules and were warned.
