Tea Party Group Urges Small Businesses ‘Not To Hire A Single Person’ To Hurt Obama

The treasonous Tea Party wants to destroy our economy to gain political power.

What is so wrong with desiring lesser Federal Government interference of the private sector, decreasing the size of the Federal Government, less government spending, and a Balanced Budget Amendment?

If the left wants to downsize our military spending, then I believe it's time that the Congress also set limits to drastically reduce Federal Government "entitlement" programs as well.

"I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it."

You mean when they say the $787 billion stimulus actually worked?

Jan 2009 unemployment at 7.6% before the stimulus
Dec 2009 unemployment at 10.0% after the stimulus

National Employment Monthly Update

The stimulus worked, according to economists.

I agree, and the Tenth Amendment confirms it, that the Founders weren't after a people looked to the Federal Government to solve all their problems. The Federal Government is the overseer not the dictator of states. It's meant to be more of a "limited" form of government, restricted to the limitations within the framework [boundries] of the United States Constitution. A government framework to uphold and support those foundational ideas first crafted in our Declaration of Independence.

Regarding the filibuster, you claimed that the founders wanted government to function as it does today, and that's why they set things up as they did. I am pointing out to you that you cannot back up that claim, because the founders did not put the filibuster in place. It wasn't their idea. Just accept the point and move on.

The founders did not want thirteen theocracies. They tried the Articles of Confederation, and it was a failure. The founders set up a FEDERAL government.

Congressional Republicans have acted shocked and offended at Democrats’ suggestions that they are intentionally sabotaging the economy to try to win back the White House in 2012. Republicans have refused to pass President Obama’s jobs plan — which experts estimate will create at least 1.9 million jobs — and proposed an alternative plan that Moody’s says “will likely push the economy back into recession.”

Now influential Tea Party leaders are throwing caution to the wind and openly lobbying business owners to stop hiring in order to hurt Obama politically. This week, Right Wing Watch picked up on a message Tea Party Nation sent to their members from conservative activist Melissa Brookstone.

In a rambling letter titled “Call For A Strike of American Small Businesses Against The Movement for Global Socialism,” Brookstone urges businesses “not hire a single person” to protest “this new dictator”:

The democrats in the senate refused to pass it, not the republicans. Obamas war is with his own party right now, even though they wont tell you that much up front. This shit is a lie, not surprising at the least.

Absolutely. The Statist Democrats control the Senate.

You do not know what you're talking about.

The Republicans blocked a debate over the bill. Not the Democrats.

I posted the definition of theocracy. You are misusing the word far outside the meaning.
once again, I never claimed the Founding Fathers invented the filibuster. You are harping in that point because you have no rebuttal.
I posted the text of the 10th Amendment. You didn't like that either.
It's not up to me to convince you that you are wrong. It's up to you to do your own homework and admit you are wrong.
The federal government does not rule over the states. Period.
I never mentioned the filibuster in any of my posts. You did. That's a non-sequitur.

I'm not harping on anything. You misunderstood what I said, and I'm trying to make it clearer to you.

I am not saying that you said that the founders invented the filibuster.

I am pointing out that when you said that the founders want government to function as it is today, you were mistaken.

The biggest roadblock we have right now is the filibuster.

Which was not an idea of the founders.

You cannot claim that the founders wanted this degree of dysfunction.

I posted the text of the 10th Amendment. You didn't like that either.

Really? Because I don't remember not liking it. I think you're getting mixed up.

Have the courts ruled on issues regarding the tenth amendment in a way that you agree with?

Does he even know the white house admitted the stimulus was a failure?

Uh, no. The WH did not say that the stimulus was a failure. The stimulus did less than they hoped, but they didn't say it was a failure.

Looking OBJECTIVELY at the stimulus, the stimulus benefited the economy.

Perhaps you wanted it to make your hair shiny and your breath better, but it's a stimulus. It can't fix everything.

You state the government is dysfunctional. Just the GOP? Be cautious with your response.
Yes, the Founders indeed government to function slowly and with limited power.
The availability of the filibuster cuts both ways. Are you sure you wish it to be stricken from the Rules of the Senate? Be cautious with your response.
I posted the text of the 10th Amendment because you insist the powers of the federal government are superior to the power of the States. The Tenth states your claim to be incorrect.
Of course the White would not admit failure. Obama's ego is too large for that. Fact is, BOTH stimulus failed to produce that which Obama promised. Shovel ready jobs and unemployment remaining below 8%. Those things never materialized. Obama's mistake is believing the nation exists on the whims and actions of government. That is his failing.
That is a fact.
"Economists agree"...Which ones? Name names and who they work for/represent.
That number of 3 million, is impossible to believe. The simple fact is if that number of jobs were to added to the market, the unemployment rate would have dropped precipitously.
Those so called "jobs" may have been created, but most were temporary jobs, suspensions of inevitable layoffs. Meanwhile NONE of the money went to private sector which any intelligent person knows is where the economy begins and thrives. Not in government.
Last week, Sen Majority Leader Harry Reid(D-NV) stated the private sector was fine. It was the loss of government jobs which is the problem. Really?
Government jobs create expense. They produce nothing. Government employment is far more costly and offers nothing to the consumer.
Greatness of the nation and the people comes from the growth of the private sector. Increasing the size of government impedes that greatness.
I know form which angle Obama supporters come when they claim the stimulus worked. Their angle is "well, at least Obama did something"..That something cost us nearly one trillion dollars with no positive results to show for it.

I have already listed links to back up my claim that the stimulus worked.

Yes, I am ready for the filibuster to disappear. It is paralyzing government at a time of national crisis.

Yes, the problem is the GOP. This is not to say that Democrats are perfect, but they are not being obstructionist.

Even temporary jobs are beneficial to the economy, because THEN PEOPLE SPEND MONEY.
