Tea Party Chairman Racist letter

:eusa_eh: Holy shit. This Mark Williams guy is an idiot.

This guy can't be bright.

My commentary: He's trying to mock NAACP for A: Being Racist. B: Calling the Tea Party Racist. I get that, I'm not a fan of tossing it out baselessly.

Well, he's not very bright. Within his letter, he assumes that it's "Coloreds" that use tax-payer money to have big screen TV's in every room. He infers they're not productive members of society. Claiming they don't compete for jobs like everyone else. Holy shit man.

I get what he was trying to do in writing this. I get it, he was mocking the notion that the tea party's Racist. In doing so he uh, revealed his beliefs of his own stereo-types of "Coloreds" and he doesn't seem to hold them in too high regard. What a moron.

Here is his "mock" letter to Abraham Lincoln:

Dear Mr. Lincoln

We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the 'tea party movement'.

The tea party position to "end the bailouts" for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn't that what we want all Coloreds to strive for? What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.

And the ridiculous idea of "reduce[ing] the size and intrusiveness of government." What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!

The racist tea parties also demand that the government "stop the out of control spending." Again, they directly target Colored People. That means we Colored People would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government "stop raising our taxes." That is outrageous! How will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Sincerely

Precious Ben Jealous, Tom's Nephew National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Head Colored Person

Tea Party Leader Mocks NAACP "Coloreds" In Online Screed | Political Correction

A blog on Media Matters is your source?????

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Your point?

Here's the "letter" on the guy's own blog page.

NAACP Resolution: [National Association for the Advancement of] Colored People change minds about emancipation MarkTalk.com News & Commentary

No matter what site you read it from it was a REALLY dumb thing to do.

My point is he's not a leader. He's a talkshow host.

The left does not get to pick our leaders for us.

I've honestly never heard of the guy.

Google is your buddy.

Just did that.

He's a hack. He may be part of "Tea Party Express" but they have absolutely nothing to do with my local Tea Party chapter.

Take a look at his websites. He's just looking to make a buck any way he can.

Still doesn't ring any bells, even after googling him. He has as much political clout in the Tea Party world as King Shabaz has in DNC. Sure, they're both members of political parties, but that doesn't mean the parties agree with them.

Let's see you show the same indignation about someone wanting to kill Cracker Babies.

He's in the NBBP. I don't support that organization. I find it, Racist.

But that organization supports the DNC, and Shabaz is a registered Democrat.

So he must speak for the whole movement, using your logic.

Right?

No.

President Obama is the leader of the Dem party or Tim Kaine if you want to get technical.

Michael Steele is the leader of the GOP.

That's the problem with leaderless movements ... any loon can say he's the leader.

That's my point. EVERY group has its own factions that tie themselves to the group, but have little or nothing in common. To single one out, and say they are exemplary of the group as a whole, is disingenuous at best, and irresponsibly misleading at worst.

Sure, as soon as you can show me where I said Williams "speaks for the whole movement," huh?

So, no, you didn't "use my logic."

Apples and oranges.

When you don't have a centralized organization or a real "leader" these are the consequences you must suffer. Nobody would ever mistake the Black Panther guy as a leader of the Dem party because everyone knows who their leaders are. This isn't the case with the Tea Party.

It would help to learn how to read.

In the OP, the OP (me) explicitly states he doesn't think the Group's racist.

For fuck's sakes, argue with what's in front of you.................not with what you're dreaming.

You're holding up some guy most of us have never heard of as a spokesperson for the entire party, and we're the ones dreaming....

Got it! (for fuck's sake)

The only thing I hold up is my nuts.

I didn't hold up anything re: this guy.

I linked to a provacative letter from a person labeled as a Chairman. (fundraising, TV appearances, etc), and said it shines a bad light on the tea party in a week where they were labeled as Racists.

If you can't grasp that, that's alright I'm not going to hate on you. But don't sit here and argue points that aren't there, it's boring/a waste of time/not sexy.

Good enough.

Cause I'm all about sexy.

Since no one claims leadership in the tea party movement it looks like no one will feel the need to denounce this idiot and the world will continue to believe that the tea party has a heavily racial bias.

The tea party exposed itself as to their daytime removal of the hood. Republicans should be pissed.
