I was hoping to see correlation between low taxes rapid economic growth but have yet to see it. 1933, 1993. In both cases, tax policy made preserving wealth the more optimal choice. By preserving wealth, ie investing rather than pissing away, jobs were created and our economy moved forward. From 1993 to 2002, our dollar surged because our fiscal house was in order. The surging dollar was a reflection of foreign investor confidence, and the result was a generational record low unemployment and GDP growth well beyond anything that Reagan or either Bush did.
