Viewers react with sympathy, disgust for Letterman

NEW YORK – Will David Letterman's very public revelation of a new, very human flaw bring him closer to viewers, or will it cloud him in cliche showbiz debauchery?

That was the question many were debating Friday, the day after the CBS "Late Show" host revealed to his audience that he had sexual relationships with female employees and had been the victim of an extortion attempt to keep that information private.

I heard his explination of the situation last night.

I *HEARD* the audience laughing at his exlination.

I find NONE of it remotely funny. He may shrug it off...but it is a microcosm of what is wrong with Society by their laughing at it [audience], and to think this is NORMAL.

Frankly? I find it sickening as HELL, and the obscession of the Media on this topic.

BURY IT. Let the LAW take over and DEAL with it.

The only feelings I have regarding this is that were he a Republican instead of an uber lib NOW would be demanding his head on a platter.
