The only caveat is that protests have started a bit too early, and had these protests been in the summer of 2018, GOPers would be in a worse panic than they are now. Hopefully, Trump will piss off people throughout the next 20 months...as he has done in just ONE month.

I'm right on track with you here. I wish this were the summer of 2018, too for the same reasons. But we're almost guaranteed that the freak show will continue as Trump WILL continue to piss people off, and it will be within his admin and cabinet.

Trump is a sociopath, which means he's excellent at persuading people to join his side. But he's equally good at making these very same people angry and frustrated and within a short period of time. These generals and others like Tillerson are not going to last with Trump. It's going to be a continual show of infighting and this house is definitely made of cards.

The Trump 'problem' has so many facets to it. First, there's the Americans who opposed Trump and are aghast by his behavior. They're more or less countered by his adoring supporters. Then there are the members of Congress (both Dem and Rep) and gov't officials who are honestly alarmed by Trump's behavior as well as his statements. Then, there's the current dysfunction of gov't agencies and cabinets which have more or less ground to a halt even as Trump seems to spend a lot of his time talking about his victory as if it happened earlier this week. And finally, there's world leaders who don't like what they're seeing and hearing and are already experiencing the vacuum of a new American absence because there doesn't seem to be anyone in our gov't who knows what's going on.

That's a LOT of negative. As the saying goes, nature abhors a vacuum. If the Trump administration doesn't get its act together soon, others will fill the void.

I doubt if Trump would resign due to political pressure....he doesn't care

Reasons Trump could leave early:

1. Health reasons: Trump is 70 and morbidly obese. The stress of the job affects presidents who are 20 years younger, Trump does not appear to be in great shape

2. Impeachment or threat of impeachment: The Russian thing will not go away. We don't know what Putin has on Trump. Trump's conflicts between his business interests and duties as President could cross the line of legality

3. He just gets tired of the bullshit. You can see he is struggling in only his first month. It does not get any easier

Disagree completely, the longer he is president, the higher the likelyhood of him having a second or even third term.

If he makes it through two years, that means conflicts of interest are completely irrelevant, and so is treason. He could possibly accumulate more power, not necessarily in legal ways. He could be very well intrenched and be able to do more things.
