I have often thought that "LGBT" is a particularly disparate collection of characteristics to be lumped together for social/political purposes. From my observation and knowledge, even L's and G's tend to have significantly different relationships with their partners. Further, the inclusion of B's undermines the entire premise of genetic sexual preference.

Finally, T's present a whole new set of conundrums: Does a gay man who continues to prefer other men suddenly become straight after a sex change operation? Should (previous) men be allowed to dominate women's sports? Is wearing opposite sex clothing a form of sexual orientation? If so, which one?

I think that labeling people is a small minded way of manipulating them. What say you?
