Look no further. Those saying that the mayor's "give them space" comment was taken out of context, take heed. She ordered the police to stand down. The resultant chaos that ensued made Ferguson look like a schoolyard brawl. I am given to the idea that the Democratic policies of submission and passivity led to the riots, and this order from Democratic Mayor of Baltimore, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake only confirms it.

That's not to say all Democrats favor these kinds of policies, as Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke slammed the city's liberal policies, and the "protesters" who he claimed didn't care one bit about what happened to Freddie Gray:

“Like Baltimore, like Ferguson, like New York and many other areas where failed liberal government policies have led to high unemployment, chronic poverty, failing schools, this is what besets the Baltimore area."

"Ninety percent of the homicide victims in the Baltimore area are black as are ninety percent of the suspects," Sheriff Clarke said. "That’s a bigger problem than Freddie Gray.”

But the fact that Mayor Blake ordered police to stand by as Baltimore descended into chaos should be appalling. Did she not care about the integrity of her city? Or the safety of its law abiding citizens?

Despite a firm denial by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a senior law enforcement source charges that she gave an order for police to stand down as riots broke out Monday night, raising more questions about whether some of the violence and looting could have been prevented.

The source, who is involved in the enforcement efforts, confirmed to Fox News there was a direct order from the mayor to her police chief Monday night, effectively tying the hands of officers as they were pelted with rocks and bottles.

Asked directly if the mayor was the one who gave that order, the source said: "You are G** d**n right it was."

The claim follows criticism of the mayor for, over the weekend, saying they were giving space to those who "wished to destroy."

By Tuesday night, despite the chaos a day earlier, Baltimore police along with the National Guard and other law enforcement contingents seemed to be restoring order in the city, which was under a curfew overnight.

Obvious betrayal of the public trust granted her with her election. Her career SHOULD be over.

Or is she actually pandering to those who voted for her? And whether she misspoke, she did say she thought protesters should have space to destroy. She denies meaning it the way she put it, but I would think someone in her position would be good at saying what they mean.

Wow, an "anonymous source", Fox news is showing it's journalistic integrity again.

Her career and every other city politician in Baltimore. Will it happen? Of course not - she, and the rest of her cronies are democrats. Think Detroit, Chicago, Washington DC, Denver, and any other city "ran" by these creeps.

I bet this mayor gets reelected.

She was appointed, then elected.

She replaced another far left corrupt mayor (who was a far left drone), despite the "oppressive" nature of the police on the community.
