A humanitarian intervention? Situation in Libya is ‘catastrophic’, says ex-foreign minister

NATO’s bombing of Libya has set the North African nation back decades, the country’s ex-foreign minister has told RT, challenging the notion that the West had launched its military campaign there for humanitarian reasons.

Washington invoked a flashy new doctrine, R2P (“Right to Protect”), in order to justify the 2011 military intervention in Libya. Instead of protecting civilians, the campaign has led to massive instability which has destroyed the fabric of Libyan society, Dr. Mustafa El Zaidi, the country’s former health minister and former minister of foreign affairs, told Afshin Rattansi on RT’s Going Underground.

Describing the humanitarian situation there as “catastrophic,” El Zaidi said that Tripoli suffers from daily power shortages, while the southern part of Libya is gripped by fuel shortages.

“There is no health service at all. Libyans are now going back to life in the early 40s and 50s.”

Thanks Hillary.
Come and do some stand up comedy in Tripoli when you have time.

Too bad Hilary and Obama will never ever be held responsible for what Libya has become, unless you believe in an after life where people are held accountable for things like murder, destruction, misery for millions of people and stuff like that.

Angelo, you have to take what you hear from RT with a grain of salt.

NATO responded there in reply to a UN resolution for a cease fire.
NATO whooped Ghadaffi good and left. The Libyan government couldn't withstand those goddamned fucking terrorists that are thick as flies over there, and sure they're a mess. But that doesn't mean Ghadaffi was a good guy; he was suspected of being farrrr over the line.

Khadaffi kept stability in the region for decades. The AP lied about chemical weapons so Hillary would assassinate Khadaffi because he was about to take every country in the African Union (which he was the leader of) and move them onto a hard-currency-backed gold standard.

The people suffering in that country are doing so because of Hillary, The global banking cabal, and the MIC.

Tens if not hundreds of thousands are suffering there. Now it's 3 warring tribes tearing the country apart and none of them are any good.

I know about this stuff, because back when it happened, I found it odd that Obama was chumming around pretty good with Khadafi, and months later, Ghadafi is killed. So I did some research.

I'll tell you right now: Within 1-3 years, the American dollar will be devalued by 15-20%. China and Russia are working on it right now, probably hunting for Ghadafi's gold. Africa is very destabilized.

Strange but everywhere I look, reporters are pointing to Hillary as the person responsible for the mess in Libya. Even Obama said it was a mistake.

Libya asked to negotiate a cease fire and Hillary refused.
