Sheriff Offers Inmates to Build Trump Border Wall
Prisoners could give back to society, learn job skills
Thomas M. Hodgson, who was sworn in to a fifth four-year term on Wednesday as sheriff of Bristol County, is pitching a plan to create a nationwide consortium of sheriffs who agree to make inmate labor available to respond to the aftermath of hurricanes and natural disasters — and for ambitious national building projects. One possible application would be to provide labor for the construction of a border wall.

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea. yet couldn't it be considered slave labor. & Will people only fall for it based off the fact they are inmates and screw uhmm let them build it since it would be cheap labor.
If so then why are we against certain cell phone companies who have slaves build their phones, why don't we support other Countries whose people are not inmates but get paid pennies to make electronics for example only to have another Country pay a few hundred dollars for that slave labor made phone.

I don't like it , let private contracters do the Glorious Trump Wall . Inmates might be fine except for transport costs [mass to border areas] , guards , housing and other things . Wall will maybe be precast concrete I GUESS . SEE THIS VIDEO . ------------------------ --- What it would take to build Trump's border wall - CNN Video --- video explains my thinking , if precast concrete there is no need for other labor doing labor intensive work like block laying , imo !! Part of Israels Glorious 'pali' Exclusion fence and Wall is precast concrete MWars .

Honestly, I think a lot of prisoners would benefit from learning construction skills. It certainly beats what our current prison system is teaching inmates.

The pay scale for U.S. prisoners ranges from about .30 cents per hour to about $1.00 per hour, depending upon the work they do. Round up any and all illegal immigrants that were from south of the border and pay them the scale of $1.00 per hour to build the wall. Once complete, toss them over the wall.

You have no idea what skills prison teaches inmates.
You do realize that prisoners are already working in prison, right? They even make money from it, which they collect when they leave, though it's not a lot of money.

Construction is a really good field of work for felons. Most construction companies already have felons working for them. Construction can pay decently too, particularly once you get experience. He'll, you can make very good money as a journeyman.

Those rules are different depending on custody level and status.
