NAZARETH, (PIC)-- Sheikh Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, is to return home from London next week after winning the case against his deportation.
The palestinians-1948 website said Wednesday that the Islamic movement was preparing a huge carnival to celebrate the return of the Sheikh in his hometown of Um Al-Faham next Tuesday after nine months in London.
The British judge, who reversed Salahs deportation order, said in a ruling of 29 pages that the deportation was not based on any legal foundation, adding that the British Home Office was misled by mistaken information.
The British court also ruled that Salahs arrest was inappropriate thus allowing him to sue the Home Office for compensation.
