Heather Penney, then an Air Force Lt, was willing to die to save others lives on 9/11. She and her superior officer, both pilots of F-16s, took off with no ammo or weapons on their airplanes. Their goal was to stop the airplane that ended up crashing in PA, crashed by the passenger heros.
