This is the key for me. At first the TP was about limited, responsible government and they had my attention, big time. But then Norquist and Palin and Bachmann hijacked the movement and sent it completely over the edge.

Yes, the TP had its successes, but it's much easier to win smaller congressional districts than it is to win senatorial elections. This movement as gone fruit loops, and it's showing no signs of coming back to anything that can win nationally.

If they don't need independents like me, fine. I don't need them, either.
