WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate Intelligence Committee has sent formal requests to more than a dozen organizations, agencies and individuals, asking them to preserve all materials related to the committee's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and related issues, according to a congressional aide.

The committee chairman, Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., and its vice chairman, Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., sent letters Friday, the same day committee members received a classified briefing from FBI Director James Comey. Committee members declined to comment on what was discussed after the more than hourlong briefing.

Congressional staffers have said that they are not aware of any evidence that materials are not being preserved, but Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York said Thursday on the Senate floor: "There is real concern that some in the administration may try to cover up its ties to Russia by deleting emails, texts and other records that could shine a light on those connections. These records are likely to be the subject of executive branch as well as congressional investigations and must be preserved."

Oh sure sure.. Hillary's server has been wiped, Podesta's phone has been hammered. The hacked DNC servers had a hired private agency pawing all them for months ---- AND NOW --- Schumer wants to protect the evidence???

You've taken all you get from that. If you're not happy with that then make a better case next time. You idiots struck out hard.

It's our turn now. Those pounds of flesh will be extracted with precision. There is quite a bit owed by your side. Suck it up.

All you moonbats have are bitter tears of a loss that had NOTHING to do with the hacking of the DNC. Nothing.

Yes, you fucks owe Murica far more than you could ever repay.

You have nothing. It's over.

You can't claim any victory after 8-9 Benghazi investigations and years long email investigations with not a damned thing to show for it. Not one person paid any price.

Sit back, shut up and get ready. This show is gonna be bi-partisan and complete.

Nobody lied and nobody died because the DNC got hacked.

Grow the fuck up and get over it.

Yeah, but I don't trust this administration to hang onto anything that would implicate collusion, so it's going to be interesting. Emails once deleted they can be found again, but what about text messages, can they be found again if they've been deleted?

We already know that they have some taped conversation with Flynn, but how far back did Obama issue the order? If he wire taped Russian phone lines in September or before when he found out about it, then it's going to get real interesting.

They may already know everything and this could be a bait and hook, getting them to lie under oath about something.

Shep Smith of FOX NEWS seems to know something. He states here that Trump campaign aids were on the phone with the Russians when the Russians were hacking into the DNC. Obviously they are looking at phone records which would prove that. Hopefully they have the taped recordings too.
