Not our problem.Question is, why is the agency responsible for separating and detaining the children unable to account for them?Parents who break the law are often separated from their children. What does any of that have to do with being able to account for how many children were separated from parents and what happended to the children when and if they were released? The courts did it? Either you’re mistaken or your lying. Which is it?What does this have to do with Trump? It was the courts that made the ruling that children have to be separated. Are you saying that Trump should completely over turn the courts?
What would you like done?
It is congress that has the power to change the law. Would you like Trump to over turn congress?
What exactly do you want Trump to do, with a problem that has been on going for decades.

That’s because of something called the Flores Consent Decree from 1997. It says that unaccompanied children can be held only 20 days. A ruling by the Ninth Circuit extended this 20-day limit to children who come as part of family units. So even if we want to hold a family unit together, we are forbidden from doing so.

Reno v. Flores - Wikipedia
Flores v. Lynch, Ninth Circuit Judge Andrew Hurwitz, joined by Judges Michael J. Melloy and Ronald M. Gould, reversed in part, finding that the Agreement applied to all detained children but that it did not give their parents any affirmative right of releaseSo let's recap:
The 9th circuit court, determined that children must be released after 20 days, but parents who violated the law by crossing the border illegally must say locked up until they have a herring.
However, since the government cannot release children without a legal guardian, that means they must stay in custody. So families must be separated.
Trump didn't create this mess. Left-wingers did.
Let’s ask the leader of the country they ran away from.
