- Just how nasty and disgusting tobacco smoke (even the pipe tobacco that you delude yourself into thinking otherwise) smells to most nonsmokers.
- How relentlessly the stench of tobacco smoke sticks to everything that it touches.
Smoking is a nasty habit. Only in your imagination is there any form of tobacco smoking that is any less nasty than any other. And that's without even getting into the impact it has on the health of those who smoke, and on those who are exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke.
Two things that smokers don't seem to realize…

Please stick to something you know about. Some pipes sell for thousands of dollars. Some pipe tobaccos go for hundreds an ounce. There are about 2,000 blends. In the approximately 45 years I've smoked a pipe, I'm met NOT ONE PERSON who has ever been violently opposed to the smell. Most find it not bad to kinda nice. Many actually comment favorably on it. Unless you can tell me you know all about English blends and VaPers, Latakia, Perique, Virginias, Burleys, aged, aromatics, and a hundred other things and have smoked them all, you haven't a clue what you are talking about.
And I can smoke a pipe in my house and in 24 hours, the aroma is gone. Never one complaint. Your problem is that you're probably sensitized to it because society has forcibly removed you from it. Your loss. Don't make me pay for it.

NEWSFLASH for ya, Bob -- -- -- -- you don't actually INHALE pipe or cigar smoke! And the vestigial trace you might actually inhale (if indoors) not only isn't that bad compared to the particulate you already inhale all the time anyway from natural sources every day, but the low levels actually stimulate your immune system to build up a tolerance, read: resistance, so that you are not such a pussy, not bothered by every little thing, and can better fight off REAL assaults to the body from virus and disease, etc.Particulate smoke of any kind is bad for our respiratory systems.
