Zone1 Scholars See Current GOP As "Threat To National Stability And World Order"

A grown-up Republican Party — even a deeply conservative one — would accept the rule of law, the norms of liberal democracy, and the legitimacy of the opposing party. It would seek to represent all Americans and would prioritize winning converts over destroying heretics. It would be a governing party, understanding full well that governing is impossible without negotiation and compromise. It would accept America’s responsibility to uphold the post-World War II global order. Its leadership would seek to address the real needs and problems of its working-class base while resisting the conspiracy theories, demagoguery and temptations toward political violence to which populism is all too susceptible.

The American Enterprise Institute's Norman Ornstein describes the ousting of McCarthy as symptomatic of the "nihilistic, radical politics" that have made the GOP a "radical cult."

The Niskanen Center's Geoffrey Kabaservice believes McCarthy was imperiled by the very extremism he encouraged and described the GOP as "a party that prefers temper tantrums to governing, fantasies about stolen elections to the hard work of appealing to swing voters."

Kabaservice told Politico, "It would rather destroy the federal bureaucracy than use it to implement conservative policies. Increasingly, it poses a threat to national stability and world order. Kevin McCarthy did little to resist the feral direction of his party and much to indulge it."

It is utterly hilarious that anyone who seeks any sort of credibility whatsoever would simultaneously attempt to accuse only one party of the chicanery, social dysfunction and predatory politics that they are well known for. Ergo I can safely assume without ever having heard the name before that the person who offered this work is a Democrat. Hundreds of equally scholarly works authored by Republicans can be found saying the same thing about the Democratic party.

In the final analysis a real grown-up rejects party politics all together understanding that political parties are the foundation for division and destruction.

"Terrorists"? How dare they cast their vote for the candidate unfavored by the party! It is to chortle politely.
So why should we even try to play nice? Every American knows these goodie two shoes Libtards sooner or later will have to be extinguished to make room for reason to have any chance of recovering from the third world shit hole democrat environment we have been dragged. We need to start realizing genocide is a good thing. Can I have an A-men?!

True – extreme, reckless, irresponsible, authoritarian, and anti-democratic.

For Republicans, it’s not about governing but destroying government; it’s about establishing a balkanized, feudal society with citizens disenfranchised and subject to the tyranny of Republican minority rule.

You'll never get the revenge you so bitterly wish for. :itsok:

You mad, brah?

Would pretty much be the same as this:

“King of England views American traitors as a threat to national stability and world order”

The good guys are the same people in both instances… Americans who desire independence and representation to decide their fate… thus Conservatives

In all seriousness, if the Founding Fathers were around today, the usual suspects on here would be clamoring for them to be imprisoned, made destitute and run out of the country. Some would be demanding their heads to roll.

Hilary Clinton would be supporting the King and calling for the scoundrels over here to be “reprogrammed”

Academics, you mean the "Kill all Jews" type

Tried to stick with my MORE INDEPENDENT, NO PREFERENCE VOTER STANCE. BUT TRUMP has stepped over the line.
Hope things get back to a less hateful place, and more peaceful world.

"Scholars See Current GOP As 'Threat To National Stability And World Order' "

There isn't a person under the age of 70 who is more scholarly than I am. "National Stability and World Order" as your title doesn't mention that liberals have gone communist in the worst way following several years of their unique case of Trump Disinformation Syndrome based not upon him, but on conservatives who chose him to speak for us, and he did it so well, you guys went all out to the extremist mentality ever seen in this country other than the not-so-civil war that began in the 1860s and never quite completely went away, because southerners were pissed off about northerners demanding cheap goods when they could sell their cotton and other products for twice the price to France that had a penchant for American cotton, among other things. And Northern liberals were ready to kill rather than deliberte and understand their southern brethren in the not-so-United States. Other than being a dot on the map, Gettysburg is no longer remembered as who killed the most opponents. Today, slander has replaced bullets, and who knows who is "winning" anything with implanted false narratives here, and false narratives there, not to mention the lame retaliations going on at the sound of speeding gullets blaming the other side for all the national disagreements one could ever think up.

This conservative scholar sees lies replacing honor and sundry victimologies claimed by the sham of victory on either side, and she rejects the yammering of the poor me's.

Whatever happened to "All for one and one for all" in this nation? How we can renew a sense of brotherly love that truly is key to going forward as a united entity? That's the real problem. And now that it is clear, do something about it. I already have.

Best wishes to you, Mr. or Ms. Skews13, but right now you aren't wrapping your mind about brotherly love which concerns helping out those who are most in need in your neighborhood, and not expecting anything in return. Stop feeding your conundrum.

There are 193 countries on Earth. America is number 3 in gun deaths, If you sub track gun murders in Chicago, Philly, Detroit, St Louis, and L.A. America is 189 on the list. It looks like democRats are the ones with a gun murder problem not normal Americans. So don't you think we should cage these murdering democRats the real threat to logic and not waste to much time before extinguishing them?
