The border would be patrolled in any case but because illegal crossings are such a problem, the Border Patrol requires more money and equipment to police it properly.
In addition to this, illegal immigrants, by being here illegally, don't pay taxes. Therefore, all the things we enjoy as taxpayers such as law enforcement, schooling, street and infrastructure maintenance, postal services, et al, they enjoy at our expense.
