I don't think that all the people were able to get all the aid they desperately need before the bombing started again.

SANAA, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Saudi-led alliance resumed its air raids against Yemen's Shiite Houthi group in the southern port city of Aden shortly after a five-day truce expired late Sunday, army sources said.

War planes of the coalition bombed the presidential compound, which is controlled by the Houthis, said the same source and eye-witnesses.

The bombing came as the UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed urged all warring parties to extend the short humanitarian cease-fire.

Probably worse being an ordinary civilian in the middle of this.

Unfortunately humankind has been at war since at least the beginning of recorded history. If war is defined as 1000 or more killed per day then there's only been around 280 days of "no war" in all our history. Of course during those 280 days there were up to 999 killed per day in small conflicts.
