Saudi Arabia Is NOW Threatening the USA

As long as it is a world market we can not become truly energy independent. We could import ZERO oil, and our prices will still reflect WORLD MARKET PRICES.

the US does not produce enuff high sulfur content crude to do that.

that is one reason we still import crude.

Calm down, snowflake. :itsok:

But you see: Trump is playing a losing game of chess.
1. He attacks our allies
2. He attacks the free press.
3. He sucks up to authoritarians & dictators
4. He starts trade wars
5. All of these have consequences

Now we have a POTUS that is
1. owned by the Russians
2. is looking like he is owned by the Saudis
3. is putting US warships off the Chinese coast
4. is currently presiding over a major negative market correction
5. will be the harbinger of a very nasty, major war

It's all coming into alignment & view. Pence & his evangelicals gotta be loving this.
Thanks Donald
Don’t go getting yourself all worked up over things you don’t fully understand. Unlike obama, Trump is more than capable of addressing tough issues in a way that’ll eventually benefit Americans and the world.

:itsok:

The only thing Trump is interested in is benefiting himself & his rich GOP bubba buddies

Which of his policies specifically are you referring to?

You're kidding; right? OK, you're not kidding. Do you ever pay attention to tax policy much?

You didn’t get a tax cut?

If you didn’t get a tax cut, that means you don’t have a job.

I hope you find work soon. I mean that sincerely, in this current economy, everyone who wants to work should be able to find work.

Khashoggi case: Saudi Arabia vows to retaliate against any sanctions - CNN

But in a strongly worded op-ed published later on Sunday, Turki Aldakhil, general manager of the Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya news channel, warned that if the US imposed sanctions on Riyadh "it will stab its own economy to death," cause oil prices to reach as high as $200 a barrel, lead Riyadh to permit a Russian military base in the city of Tabuk, and drive the Middle East into the arms of Iran.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, Trump needs to double down on these assholes, like we ALL know he does, and put the Saudis in their little high chair.

BUT, we ALL know that Trump will do nothing; why?
Because we all know that Trump is bought & paid for by $$$$$$$$.

The Saudis & King Salman will grab Trump by his crotch, right where Trump likes it.

If Trump has any cojones whatsoever, maybe we can finally find out that the Saudis are not our friends but only the terrorists we always knew they are.

Trump, nor any other president is going to start a war with saudi.

if the Saudis are threatening to take crude to $200 BBL then I believe that is enuff of a threat; more than war

They don't have the supply to do that nor is there demand for $200 BBL. We're now the leading producer of natural gas and petroleum.

In a statement Sunday on the official Saudi Press Agency attributed to "an official," the kingdom rejected any threats of economic sanctions or political pressure and said it would "respond with greater action."

you may believe the person is, as you state, "Enough of a threat? From a journalist?" but you likely do not comprehend the connections.

I know, that might be a bit much for you to grab on to.

You shoot down the message when you shoot the messenger & this messenger is a voice for the Saudi Government.

OK now; just go back and play out there on your marry-go-round while the grown ups discuss.

yes, they do & a lot of folks didn't think about that before they voted for a TV personality to become a nuclear threat to the planet

Saudi Arabia is the worst ! But they are our buddies cause they buy into the military industrial complex.

Meanwhile , we can’t have ties wh Cuba .

When Barry Hussein decided to turn the U.S. into a 3rd world country by "weaning America off fossil fuel" the crazy left thought it was a good idea. All of a sudden when it seems that a quirky Saudi kingdom might extort oil money from the U.S. over the murder of a Washington Post reporter the crazy hypocrite left suddenly feels threatened. Which is it lefties? Should the U.S. be at the mercy of a corrupt kingdom in the Arabian desert or should we try to be energy independent?

Saudis ‘reject’ threat of U.S. sanctions over Khashoggi disappearance, vowing ‘greater action’ in retaliation

“The Kingdom affirms its total rejection of any threats and attempts to undermine it, whether by threatening to impose economic sanctions, using political pressures, or repeating false accusations,” the official Saudi Press Agency said.

Grant Thornton chief economist Diane Swonk read the Saudi statement as a threat to rein in oil production and thereby push global energy prices higher.
Looks like a tangible threat to reduce oil production and raise oil prices. Strongmen the world over react the same way, trading short term “wins” for long-term pain.

You OBVIOUSLY do not pay much attention to the current headlines, nor current events.

I'm not surprised.

Trump, nor any other president is going to start a war with saudi.
Doesn’t have to be war
Strict sanctions and less military support
