A University of Colorado analysis of state-by-state factors leading to the Electoral College selection of every U.S. president since 1980 forecasts that the 2012 winner will be Mitt Romney.

The key is the economy, say political science professors Kenneth Bickers of CU-Boulder and Michael Berry of CU Denver. Their prediction model stresses economic data from the 50 states and the District of Columbia, including both state and national unemployment figures as well as changes in real per capita income, among other factors.

“Based on our forecasting model, it becomes clear that the president is in electoral trouble,” said Bickers, also director of the CU in DC Internship Program.

Well, considering unemployment is HIGHER now than it was when Obama took over, and considering that energy prices are HIGHER now than they were when Obama took over, and considering the debt is MUCH MUCH MUCH HIGHER now than when Obama took over, it's safe to say that Romney will be inheriting an economy exponentially worse.

Actually, Bill Clinton put two wars on the credit card when he ignored national security, allowed Al Qaeda to operate with impunity, and lead to the 9/11 attacks.

The housing market bust can be squarely laid upon Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank and his boyfriend, plus Franklin Raines and other sleazy Democrats that ran Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
