Romney: Dump it on the States

What's sad is seeing some people don't realize STATES rights over this damn FEDERAL GOVENMENT.

This is why we are losing this country and our FREEDOMS along with it

Yeah, taking power from Centralized Gov't in Washington and putting it back into the hands of people at the local level is a real nightmare for all you Communists (Liberal Democrats) out there.

Remember the immortal words of John Lennon who wrote:

"Power to the Government!
Power to the Government!
Power to the Government!
Power to the Government, Right On!"

Uh...the states can't afford to take on more and they often survive on plenty of aid from Washington. Like it or not, states can't be as autonomous at you and other repubs think they are because they don't have the operating funds or budgets!

It's because they send it to Washington, who then disperses it back to states, they also are required to really balance a budget, Washington just keeps printing. Their motto is: Budgets? We don't need no stinking budgets.

Yep, Arizona and California are good examples of federal government taking away freedoms.

It is the liberals who enslave people... that's what welfare amounts to.

of yeah, those chains of oppression brought to you by section 8 housing, get real.

Making and keeping individuals reliant on government is enslavement. Twit.

nobody forces people to be on welfare, there is no gun to their heads, they can go out and get a job if they are able to, some just don't want to.
Nobody forces farmers to get govt assistance they need it.
Big business has no problemm relying on govt. to make laws that benfit them. not to mentio the grants, fellowships and brotherhoods that finance business that comes from the government, not to mention religious based charity the recives govt money.
if the money went away ther would be more crime and death rates would increase, but it would settle down after a while.
but this is all voluntary, no one is forced to rely on the govt.
Do you use the mortgage tax deduction? Are you depending on govt to reduce your taxes through use of their programs?

State's rights is generally brought to you by the crowd that supports slavery.

Wow Sallow, that's a truly ignorant statement. 150 years ago, it was STATES that nullified the federal government's law that required escaped slaves be returned to their owners in the South. Even after the Supreme Court upheld that law, it was STATES that said "no", we do not recognize this law as Constitutional and we nullify it. The Southern succession started after the they got sick and tired of Northern STATES nullifying laws the central government had created.

Today, those of us that value state's rights do so out of concern regarding the size of the federal government, their reach, and the debt they've accrued. We're certainly not in support of slavery, but I suspect you know that damn well.

A disturbingly dishonest post from you my man.

Not dishonest at all.

The south was never interested in ending slavery..that's a myth.

And in countries where you have the sort of "confederacy" you folks are looking for..you have a vast amount of injustice and corruption.

China is a good example. It isn't at "centralized" and laws vary from province to province. Alot of your quality of life depends on how much you can bribe officials. They have little or no oversight from the Central Government.

Who brought the south their slaves?

Sallow you sure you want to get into this?

The last time states rights were prevalent was before the Civil War, and we see how that faired.
The republicans voided states rights.

Mary Chesnut made a statement similar to that slavery was a curse and that getting rid of it would be a blessing in the long run.

This is coming from a member of the slave owning aristocracy class

Since we are all slaves to the fucking state--unions.

Nice.
