Romney "bullying" story false

have not found the Washington Post piece, but found this...

Romney Friend Stu White Says Campaign Wants Him to Counter Prank Accusations - ABC News
White, in an interview with ABC News, said that he is “still debating” whether he will help the campaign, remarking, “It’s been a long time since we’ve been pals.” While the Post reports White as having “long been bothered” by the haircutting incident,” he told ABC News he was not present for the prank, in which Romney is said to have forcefully cut a student’s long hair and was not aware of it until this year when he was contacted by the Washington Post.

this appears to corroborate the OP's story.

Still looking for the edited Washington Post piece.

Thank you for producing at least a second referance to the false statement.

Did you read the whole bit?

It makes it worse for Robmoney BTW

i did read the whole thing. Honestly, I could care less.

People sometimes do stupid, irresponsible, malicious things in school. They grow up.

You should too.

where is the PROOF in that BLOG that any of what they say is correct?

Where is the proof that anything they've said in WaPo was correct? Face it. The Obama campaign is getting so desperate that they'll run with anything they think they can make a smear with. They seem to forget tho, that there is a two way street out there. If someone wants to be concerned about the character of the candidates in high school, then let's take Obama at his own word as a school skipping, angry drug user that had crappy grades his last two years in high school. How did he get into Occidental College with that kind of highschool transcript anyway?

All that stuff is out there. It's part of the conservative mudslinging that has gone on for quite some time. Maybe you are to young to remember..but the fine conservative bunch at the John Bircher Society (Today they would be the Tea Party), called John Kennedy a communist, Catholic manchurian candidate that would ruin the country. Conservatives since then, have been making religion, ethnicity, background, associations, and a host of other nonsense..issues.

Well welcome to it coming back at ya.

Some do.

Not Romney.

He's the same sociopath today, as he was back then.

But he "saved" the auto industry..by gumption!

for fucks sake

It happened in HS.

Are any of us the same person we were in HS?

I personally don't care, since I'm not an identity voter. But most people are. Do you think that people forget being bullied in high school? You don't think they'll identify Mitt with those bullies? You don't think that they'll consider that Mitt was a BMOC elitist snot when they decide to vote? You don't know politics.

Some never get to grow up because their asaults end in death.

I have NEVER known anyone that acted like Romney acted.

He is NOT fit for office

Maxwell, a Michigan attorney, is still haunted by what he claims he witnessed on the campus of the state's elite Cranbrook School in 1965: a young Mitt Romney and a group of friends holding down a classmate named John Lauber and cutting off chunks of his long hair.

"It was not an event you take a lot of pride in. And it was that way for all of us," Maxwell told CNN.

Maxwell confirmed the story, first reported in the Washington Post. However, he insisted the incident was far worse than a high school prank.

"I'm a lawyer. I know what an assault is. This kid was scared. He was terrified. That's an assault," Maxwell said.

Romney said in an interview with Fox News Radio he does not recall the incident described in the Post article. But the former Massachusetts governor acknowledged he engaged in pranks that "might have gone too far" and apologized for any harm done during his time at Cranbrook.

Ahhhhhh, and here we go. The bankrupt, totally in the tank "news media" dig up a story about Mitt Romney that happened in the EARLY 1960's (if it happened at all)!!!! This is the type of hard-hitting journalism that we can expect from those people who get a "tingling" up their leg when they speak to Barry.

And leave it to those like TruthMatters, RDean, Chris and those who blindly follow Barry down the path of destruction to try and make this into something that can counter balance the following:

1. 8.1% unemployment (9.7% if you calculate it the way they did in 2006 - 14%+ if you take into consideration those that have stopped working or looking)
2. Housing starts are abysmal.
3. The absolute worst "recovery" in American history. Even though the recession wasn't as bad as Jimmy Carter's, the "recovery" is slower and more anemic than the great depression of the 30's.
4. Obamacare - 15% rise in health care costs. An additional 15% over the next 4 years. 2 TRILLION dollars in expenses over the next ten years. Stand by to have that revised UPWARD as the CBO is recalculating.
5. 16 TRILLION Dollars in debt and the Democrats show no sign of wanting to change that at all.
6. The Department of Justice - Eric Holder is being held in contempt by Congress for refusing to turn over documents in Fast and Furious. The New Black Panther Party is erecting a statute of Eric because it's obvious they can't be touched, no matter what they do. Congress is going to have to appoint a special prosecutor to look into the GSA, the Secret Service and other matters because Eric can't be bothered with these sort of things. He's much rather spend his time suing Joe Arpio in Arizona, the State of Texas and others.
7. The Department of Defense - The Navy cannot commit to anti-piracy patrols off the horn of Africa. Troops are using SUV's in some areas of Afghanistan because equipment is not available. They have to use duct tape to affix bullet proof vests to the side of the vehicles to act as some type of armor. F-22 Raptors are being grounded due to oxygen problems and the list continues to grow. 600 Billion dollars to be automatically cut further.
8. There hasn't been a budget from the Democratically controlled Senate in over 1,000+ days. Obviously, they don't want to have to put down in writing the ridiculous spending that they maintain.

And the list goes on and on and on...

Oh, but by golly, let's look at Mitt and his dog on the roof incident and now this latest...

We're gonna be seeing a lot more of this pretzeling from the rw's in the coming months. Reason - they have to lie to themselves in order to bring themselves to (shudder) vote for Mitt The Professional Candidate slash Bully.

Bullying and hazing are wrong, period.

Any who defend or deflect are wrong, period.

MR, if he wants to win, has to come clean, repent, and move on.

Romney stated clearly that he did not recall the incident- but it having been so long ago {47 years} that he had pulled pranks and that he was sorry if he had harmed anyone.
Ah, yes....that'd be such a "forgettable"-incident....for someone who perpetually-bullied....'cause his Daddy had major-buck$, and everyone ELSE seemed to "forget" such incidents, as well.

Hell.....what's the worse (that could happen), if we continue to accept "his word" (regarding factual-info)??

Scary thing is that it was apparently such a common activity that Mitt doesnt remember committing assault and battery.

Maybe him saying he "might have gone too far" will lead to other, uh, non-memories.

Yeah....what were the chances preppy, rich-kids would "pack-up" after long-hairs....

in other words, you don't care anything about your candidate as long as he gives you your buzz words.

job creation higher than at any time during the bush admin
stock market highest it's been in four years
detroit recovering
economy recovering, albeit very slowly, despite the best efforts of the right to sabotage this president
bin laden --- dead
iraq... pretty much done
afghanistan... getting to done... agreements in place.

best part:

Conservative mudslining? No.. What I referenced came directly from Obama's autobiography. Did none of his supporters read his book?

THE Watchtower (as in the whacko publication of the Jehovah's Witnesses that has predicted the end of the world many times) or America's Watchtower?? Distinction means a lot to credibility here

ooooooo good catch.....i didnt catch that.....my bad....its america's watchtower...a blogger

The false narrative about Romney proves once and for all that Obama is nothing more then a corrupt and sleazy thug from from Chicago.

Romney stated clearly that he did not recall the incident- but it having been so long ago {47 years} that he had pulled pranks and that he was sorry if he had harmed anyone.

But Obama and his scabs have participated in grown up lying and bullying... He so dishonors the office and the American people.

The Washington Post is forced to edit its Mitt Romney gay bullying story because it contained false reporting.

It has been known for quite some time that the mainstream media is nothing more than a propaganda arm for the Democrat party, that is not new, but what is new is the way the mainstream media has thrown away its journalistic integrity in recent days. It used to just be the case that there was a liberal bias to most of what was seen and heard in the mainstream media, and that was easy enough to deal with, but lately they have stooped to lying and falsifying evidence to push the narrative they wish to see advanced. And that isn’t so easily dealt with.

We first saw the most glaring examples of this during the Zimmerman/Martin fiasco down in Florida when, in an attempt to push a hate crime and anti-gun agenda, NBC, CBS, and CNN all were caught altering the so-called evidence in the case. All three stations eventually had to backtrack from their outright false reporting.

It's all distraction gimmicks for the Dear Leader now. He has no record to run on. He's taking a page out of his good bud Hugo Chavez's playbook. Look for many many more smear gimmicks from him between now and November. Will they work? I guess we'll see.

paulitician and deflection does not answer the question of MR's bullying.

He must admit and commit, and move forward.

pauli, he can lose the election on this alone.
