The so-called Dixiecrats remained Democrats and did not migrate to the Republican Party. The Dixiecrats were a group of Southern Democrats who, in the 1948 national election, formed a third party, the States Rights Democratic Party with the slogan: Segregation Forever! Even so, they continued to be Democrats for all local and state elections, as well as for all future national elections.

slavery, segregation, sedition, and secularization.
