Was on CBC, I notice CNN didn't cover it, which is peculiar considering how much they pretend NAFTA is great for America.

Discussed how it is unreasonable to expect that American companies investing in Mexico and Canada to simply create an export market to America. This is completely true.

He was firing bullets, didn't have much to say, chastised Canada and Mexico for their lack of willingness to change and open up markets and accept texts that had been agreed on in other trade agreements. He's bloody right.

Bottom line: CANADA EXPLOITS AMERICAN BUSINESSES. Period. An old fossil first lead by the British, now lead by an apparatus that persecutes Canadians from media on down to direct employment activities. At your place of work, our career pursuits, your family and friends.

This is why Canada is by far the most desperate to keep this agreement, we are stealing your jobs, interfering in the free markets, employing covert operatives from the RCMP and CSIS, all while undermining foreign businesses and Canadian citizens.

I warned of this since 2006, WAY ahead of the curve. For all that I have personally and professionally paid, it appears America understands and many other Canadians will understand as well.

Thank you for your time. Keep up the good fight, it's worth fighting for.

NAFTA talks in soup as US, Canada publicly lock horns
17 Oct.18 | Washington : The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) are in soup as probably for the first time the United States and Canada have publicly locked horns.
Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland blasted the U.S. for the first time on Tuesday while U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer lambasted Canada and Mexico. Top trade officials from the three nations were openly critical of each other's positions, acknowledging in a joint statement that "new proposals had created significant conceptual gaps" between them, reports the Los Angeles Times. "The agreement has become very lopsided and needs to be rebalanced," Lighthizer said, while reading a statement after the close of seven emotionally fraught days of meetings in Arlington, Va. "Frankly, I am surprised and disappointed by the resistance to change from our negotiating partners," the Los Angeles Times quoted Lighthizer as saying.

Freeland denounced the U.S. for "an approach that seeks to undermine NAFTA rather than modernize it", warning that the "unconventional" proposals from President Donald Trump's administration would "turn back the clock" and put tens of thousands of jobs at risk, reports The Star. However, the three parties agreed to take about a month off and resume talks Nov. 17 in Mexico for what would be the fifth round.

The NAFTA is an agreement signed by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, creating a trilateral trade bloc in North America. The agreement came into force on January 1, 1994. It superseded the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement between the U.S. and Canada. The NAFTA has two supplements: the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC) and the North American Agreement on Labour Cooperation (NAALC).

The update that sort of encapsulates what was stated in the conference. It might be a sign that America has smartened up and they will walk away from NAFTA.

It's not the Americans walking away, it's the Canadians. Despite your lies, it is the US which stands to lose the most here as the trade imbalance favours the US over Canada.
