I was sad to hear that Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission, passed away yesterday, at 88.
Many here might not know who he is, or what YWAM is. YWAM is the largest international Christian missions organization in the world.
I met Loren Cunningham when I was at the YWAM base in Kona Hawaii, which is where he lived with his wife Darlene. I feel honored to have met him and heard him speak many times at YWAM Kona.
He had THE most amazing stories of anyone I've ever encountered in my life! He is one of the few people who has visited every single country in the world. His story and his life is pretty amazing, and I can't think of many people who have done more for the Gospel. As it says on ywam.org: "Now he has added one more “stamp” to his well-worn passport: HEAVEN!" See you again one day, Loren Cunningham.
