Well, here's the thing. Republicans admitted FDR was right. They did that when they elected Ike and Ike refused to undo the New Deal. Neither did Nixon, neither did Ford. I will even go so far to say neither did Reagan. Reagan saved social security by RAISING TAXES on it. So there wasn't a point where I left the Republican Party by admitting FDR got a lot of things right. For years, the GOP admitted FDR got a lot of things right.

Again, Reagan had economic growth because he spent like a Keynesian on military stuff. Not because he gave the rich tax breaks because he and Bush had to do "backsies" on those as soon as it was clear we weren't going to outgrow our deficits.

NO, the reason I don't vote Republlican now is because you guys have a bunch of nuts who think we need to cut taxes on rich people because Jesus is coming back and he hates the gays, or something.

In short, you are so divorced from reality that you simply can't be trusted. Say what you like about Reagan, he never shut down the country because he couldn't get his way on something.

This is one of three threads I've counted that you are intentionally derailing to rant and rave about Republicans. I'm not losing the argument, I haven't conceded anything to you. I don't argue with morons about Ronald Reagan endlessly, there is no point. You obviously have a negative opinion of the man and that's fine. The thread isn't about Reagan or your opinions of Reagan, or mine for that matter.

If you want to start a thread about Reagan, I can make the choice to enter the thread and school your ass or ignore you. But there is no need in me wasting my time in this thread discussing what I know about Reagan because that's not why anyone would click on this thread and read it. Message boards have threads with titles and topics for a reason... this isn't a coffee shop.

Now that we're back on topic... Yes, Palin endorsed Trump and he got a boost in the polls. Whether this means more votes, we'll find out Monday. Palin is popular whether you like her or not.
