Reservist has heart attack during APFT Army won't pay med bill.

I figgerd he was a Reservist right off the bat.

The first thing you do in these situations when your command won't help is to go to your Representative or Senator. Any inquiry from those two will put the fear of God into ANYONE involved.

Going to a Base I.G. won't help either.

Tri-care it sucks.
I turned 60 this year and am new to Tri-Care. It's a lot cheaper than my corporate medical plan, but it is more expensive than I thought it would be. Still, I'm paying about a third of what I used to pay.
When I was in I thought I had developed a hernia and was in some serious pain I called Tri-care to get an appointment with a specialist and they told me it would be 3 days, until my Major got on the phone and yelled at them for 5 minutes straight he got me an appointment the next day. Luckily it was just a pulled groin muscle. As a lower enlisted I would never have even considered arguing with a civilian.

Agreed on alternative courses of action. The LOD investigation is hard to reverse, but since it did happen during a PFT, the Army should cover it.

We'll see.

You were on a Reservist Tri-Care plan? Either way, sorry to read you had problems. Maybe they fixed the problems or maybe it was only a local problem, I don't know. Still, I'm knew to it and it's been good so far.
