Republicans Uncertain Who Should Run in 2012

Ron Paul was winning all the debates in the polls.

Until he got booted from the debates for not being popular.

????????????????

Or until he only received one percent of the vote in the primaries

The cons have sure whipped McCain and Susan Collins into shape ... no room for moderates in that party.

First we get the complaint that the campaigns are too long (which they are), then the next moment the notion that because one party or the other hasn't an anointed "front runner" 2 3/4 friggin' years out, is some kind of evidence of disarray?

Whatever!

How true:lol::lol::lol: These campaigns just keep getting longer and longer with the last Presidential campaign starting a FULL two years before the vote. Pretty soon, people are going to be asked who they support 20 years out.:lol::lol:

BTW- it's gonna be Mitt Romney, that's my bet.

Republicans Uncertain Who Should Run in 2012

They're having trouble finding a Republican who is a Community Organizer and speaks with a Negro Dialect.

It's not important who the Republican candidate maybe, the issue is, what will s/he promise and to whom?
The belief that any one person can fix the perniciousness which has infected our nations politics, that being money and the lust for the tappings of power, is absurd, for many (most) who long for the presidency it's not about goverence, it's all about ambition. It's not about us or our posterity, it's all about them.
True leadership is something we haven't seen, maybe in our lifetime and maybe we never will. A leader has a vision, not a hidden agenda, and the ability to communicate that vision to the people, so that even a 24 hours 'news' cycle will be unable to cloud his or her vision.
I recall an essay question from a long ago history class: Does man make history, or is the man made by history?
I don't recall how I answered it, but today, I'd have to say a leader makes history, but there are few leaders.

I think this belongs in the "who gives a shit?" category.
For fun I looked back to 2005 to see what people were predicting then.

I'd bet dollars to donuts it was the same for "W" in 1998 and "Billy Jeff" 1989 in too.

Lots to see and lots that can and will happen before it is time to chose from candidates... of course it is uncertain who should run

this has to be the dumbest thread of the day

The DUMBEST part of this so called dumb thread is that the majority of "Republicans" want Sarah Palin to be the Presidential nominee. Honestly, what does that say about the cumulative IQ of your "base"?

republicans may be dumb, but even they know 16% isn't a majority.

jeebus

did he mean plurality?

It would be an interesting study to find how something like that can happen.

What , the golden under ware, yep that will fly with the right wingnuts, not

Not golden, but "secret undies". My daughter rags on me endlessly about Romney. However, if we can elect a muslim socialist, a morman conservative is not tooooooo far fetched, besides, we need someone who knows how to fix the economy (not w/tax-cuts nor w/tax & spend) we need someone who can assemble a great team and get the US rolling again. If its not Romney I don't know who else has the skill sets.

Romney/Petraeus in 2012....

k- I really don't know, Remember Rommey gave Mass the same health care that just got trashed, where is Preot when we need him

The 3rd party is never going to happen. Ross was cool, but should have run as an R or D.

Romney gave MA what they wanted. That it doesn't work is a bonus...lesson learned. We need someone to fix SS & Medicare.

Fuggedaboudit...its Romney's turn.

2012 its Romney/Petraeus all over Obama/Biden

Petraeus is no Eisenhower. And I doubt he would bend over backwards to fit the mold that the GOP would want. If he's anything like McCain, I'd get a kick out of the irony if the Republicans on this board still all rushed their support for him.

It's things like this is why I cannot take you seriously.

1.) Obama's not a Socialist.

2.) Obama's not a Muslim.

3.) Romney's not a Morman, it's Mormon.

4.) Romney is no Conservative.

1. Obama is a socialist.
2. Obama is a muslim, his bro said so, and by their reckoning the faith of the father sets the sons faith...muslim. He went to madrassa in Indonesia.
3. Obama is NOT a Mormon, I was saying that if we can elect Obama, Romney is not a stretch.
4. Romney is more of a conservative than Obama is, that's all that counts in 2012.
