Remember the promise???? That these funds when re-paid by the banks would go to reduce the deficit???? That's not happening.

Sen. Gregg: President Obama's Budget Proposal Is a 'Disaster' - Greta Van Susteren | On The Record With Greta - FOXNews.com

SEN. JUDD GREGG, R-N.H., BUDGET COMMITTEE: The whole concept of the TARP was that as we recoup the money, it would -- because we were borrowing it from our -- from Americans and from the Chinese -- and as we recoup that money, we would use it to pay down the debt. Now that's not going to happen. We're going to -- it's become a piggy bank.

The Train Wreck that's coming your way soon. We are well on the path to bankruptsy as a Nation. To all of you out there who think that it's okay to let liberals and progressive's lead our country, remember that this is what liberals and progressives do, they spend and spend and spend with your name, your kids and grandchildren's name as co-signers. Each and every one of us now owes 45,000 to cover the national debt, that includes your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and even those that are not yet born.

    INSANITY PERSISTS.

You dumb ass. It IS happening until legislation is passed (IF it is passed) to change the language in the original TARP bill. If you are going to bitch about something, at the very LEAST try to understand what it is you are bitching about. Otherwise you just look like a grandstanding partisan hack.

It was just a matter of time before Barry tried this, he floated it a few months ago.

Barry sees the TARP paybacks as 'found money' and will reneg on that cash going to pay for deficiet, and instead will find a NEW way to waste it on yet another government 'program.'

It's not Obamas money VA YANKER, and have the guts and brains to respond without referring to some one as a dumb ass. If you would think a little you would know that small business owners do not want to borrow money at this time. We are all afraid at what Barry has in store for us and the last thing we need is more debt.
Obama can give the banks all kinds of money to lend to business but it will not lower the unemployment numbers one bit. So bend over Yanker and pull your head out from the dark place it resides in currently.

That's what we were led to believe when it was written into law in the stimulas bill. Now it appears that was pretty talk and bullshit as the administration wants to use the money for other projects.
All of our so-called leaders engage in this kind of thing, that's why we need to clean house.
Even Cheny said deficits don't matter.
It's nice to see a senator standing up for something like this though.
