They've lost on the issue of wealth inequality.

They've lost on the issue of human caused climate change

They've lost on the issue of voter fraud.

They've lost on the issue of the effectiveness of tax cuts for the wealthy and trickle down economics as a whole.

They've lost on the issue of gay marriage

Last but not least, congressional republicans have the worst approval ratings behind not only Obama, but congressional democrats as well.

The thought of them taking the senate is not only awful, it is downright bewildering. You want the truth? Average joe Americans are idiots.

If you look at the issues that most concern Americans and their thoughts on them, the majority of Americans align with what Democrats want to do...Something like 70% of Americans disapprove of Republicans in Congress and, yet as you mentioned, they will get re-elected. The "Why" is in the Gerrymandering...

So state legislatures manage to gerrymander majorities out of 30% approval ratings?
How stupid are you again?

The Gerrymandering took place 4 years ago. You do know when census are taken, right?

The majority of state legislatures and governorships are held by the GOP.

Were you visited by some divine entity last night that bestowed in you the power and wisdom to act as the final arbiter on these matters?

Republicans have not "lost" on any issue. Also, stop being a ****. Republicans and Democrats do not exist in a vacuum. Yes, there does appear to be a "ruling class" thing that has evolved into reality over the decades. However, legislators generally have to act in accord with the will of their constituents. For example, we all know that if there was suddenly a ground swell of grass roots support for legalizing sex with yard gnomes in public places, then Reid, McConnell, Pelosi, and Boehner would all be on TV furiously fucking the shit out of yard gnomes on the steps of the capital in an attempt to show solidarity with the electorate.

The parties are generally express the will of the electorate. There are no winners or losers in the sense you mean unless you allow the legislative process to be reduced to mere gamesmanship, which is a pretty cynical thing to do.

The author of this thread has a profoundly immature and cynical understanding of our system of government. It is when our country is full of morons like this where our system begins to crack, as the electorate has got to maintain some minimal level of intelligence and civil engagement. It kind of makes you think that our forefathers were onto something by allowing the "right" to vote to be restricted, eh?

Yes, GOP turnout in 2010 was higher than Democratic turnout...which allowed legislators to gerrymander themselves into future safety despite approval ratings below sexually transmitted diseases.

2014 could bring some Gubernatorial shakeups.

So the 30% of GOP turned out and beat the 70% of the Democrats and this caused gerrymandering, which doesnt explain the governors.
Remind me why anyone in his right mind takes you seriously.

The "issues" on which the GOP "lost" are not really the most important issues in voters' minds. Voters care a lot more about whether they can find a decent job than they do about whether Hobby Lobby is forced to pay for abortions. They care a lot more about being able to go to work without worrying about a truck bomb taking out their building than they do about whether a woman in a completely different job than a man doesn't make as much. And on it goes.

And from where comes that idea that they "lost" on human caused global warming? From what I see, Americans give the idea less credibility than ever. Here's a hint for those of you who went to government school. If you want a crisis to be a real crisis and get everyone to agree with you, don't make it a partisan thing. Just saying.

Yep you're right. Polls show dems favor what many people want. The problem is they vote for repubs anyway

If the GOP has already lost there's no need for Dems to vote any more. Please pass the word along.
Well I will give the repubs credit...they still get voted in. Somehow, they fully understand American stupidity...

Its because Democrats have zero integrity.

It's hard to beat Santa Claus. Ultimately, the idiots who keep voting for him will realize that there just are no more goodies to be had.

The Gerrymandering took place 4 years ago. You do know when census are taken, right?

Just remember, when the other side plays with districts, its gerrymandering and bad, but when your own side does it, it can be justified as social justice, fairness, or whatever bullshit you can come up with.

Clearly they have not lost on every issue that matters most to the American people or they would not be getting elected. Perhaps the reason Republicans keep getting elected is because of the failures of Democrat policies and leadership.

Hmmm...

"They've lost on the issue of wealth inequality." I don't even know what this means. Losers are unhappy that they are losers? This is pure nonsense.
"They've lost on the issue of human caused climate change." Again, what does this mean? The majority of the American public see what our "Progressives" are up to - attempting a takeover of the American Industrial sector by government weenies - and have soundly rejected it, despite Kyoto and other pathetic attempts by Democrats to force down our throats.
"They've lost on the issue of voter fraud." Again, what does "lost" mean. The American public is abundantly aware of how preposterous the Democrat position is on Voter ID, despite the media's orgasm of attempts to cast it as "racist." You can't get a prescription filled in this country without showing ID, but asking voters to prove who they are before voting is "outrageous." Democrats are insidious idiots, and the public knows it.
"They've lost on the issue of the effectiveness of tax cuts for the wealthy and trickle down economics as a whole." Again, Democrat losers (sorry for the redundancy) perpetually want a big generous Government, and they perpetually want SOMEONE ELSE to pay for it - namely, "The Rich." Who is winning and losing here? If "income inequality" is increasing as the Dems constantly complain, who is losing this issue? Try a little logic if it's not too strenuous.
"They've lost on the issue of gay marriage." I agree.
"Last but not least, congressional republicans have the worst approval ratings behind not only Obama, but congressional democrats as well." Made-up, delusional nonsense. R's will control BOTH houses come January, and not a moment too soon.
"... Average joe Americans are idiots." There it is. The classic Democrat conceit. Average people are too stupid to understand what's good for them, so WE (Democrats) will take care of them.

How's that War on Poverty thing working out for ya? Did "Affirmative Action" help or hurt the African American community as a whole? How did Ted Kennedy's "immigration reform" work out?

You are a fucking idiot.

OP- Pubs are great liars, con men, salesmen, and propagandists. They're wrong and scum, but they haven't lost. So many hater dupes...think they're saving on taxes with this GOP scam- along with the forever Pub campaign against government...see sig.

And yet you can't give any examples of republicans helping anyone besides the wealthy class.

Like I said, they get elected because Americans are dumb. They would rather buy into the abysmal Fox News propaganda and listen to flowery speeches about freedom and warm apple pie that mean nothing.
