I have read the President has been talking to Republicans in the Senate about starting to craft new healthcare laws, but I haven't read much else about it. McConnell has said he won't take the lead on it, but it is a job that has to be done.

He made some good proposals that would benefit people without preexisting conditions who can pay for their insurance, but he didn't address the issues of those not quite poor enough to qualify for Medicaid or those with pre existing conditions, and today, voters will expect that. There are solutions if the ideologues on the left and right can become pragmatists while they work on the issue.
